Mine 36mm arrived yesterday. Now had some time for the first „hands on“. Is it normal, that it has no crown gasket, or am I just unluckly?

Ah, thanks! I‘m not that deep into the different types of crown systems. Thought a rubber gasket is mandatory. Again something learned. :)

I have a Omega 007 on order. When it arrives I will pull the trigger on one of these. Unsure if the buy a 36 or 39mm. Which is your preference and why?

My wrist is about 7 inch, I find 39/40mm always fits well but the 36mm is the more classic look. Do you think the 36 will look small?
I think so yes. The explorer 36mm is more of a 35, it wears smaller than a datejust 36mm too. On a 7inch wrist I'd probably go with the 39mm

I would disagree. The impression of size depends on many factors: how much negative space is on the dial, how present the bracelet is on the case, the bezel presence. I think the overall presence makes the 36 mm available for wide wrists as well as tiny ones.

I had the BP 39mm some time ago and sold it, because it was "too much" watch for me on the wrist. Compared to a Sub or any other watch with a wider bezel (that takes more space inwards), it has a lot of dial. (Maybe that's what @Mudder means with "negative space"). And I'm always on the fence with my 6-digit and 5-digit Subs. Tendency to the smaller ones, if I had to chose one case for the rest of my life. And I once chose 36mm DJ over 41mm. I like it more, when over and under the lugs is a little bit space so the bracelet rests visible on my wrist.

My wrist is sliiiiiightly smaller than yours. So maybe this helps.

Amazing!
Bracelet is on another level. Movement is smooth (rotor bit noisy, but is already silenced). Lume is nice.
Only negative is the dj crown.

Had the same issue with the 39 mm.

How is the noisyness noticeable? Just when u shake the watch, it's noticeable? I got the same "problem". But that's not bothering me. I got a bigger problem with the watch respectively the rotor, if i tab with my index finger on the crystal. Than the rotor is also noticeable to hear. It sounds just cheap. Never had that with another watch of a "high grade" factory. How can I silence this little bugger?!

I opened the watch and found out that the rotor has also bit of vertical play...max 0,5mm and that is enough for the "cheap" rotor noise (yes, screws are tight) + bit of sound from bearings. As you already mentioned: when you tab on the crystal the sound from the rotor is most noticable.

And how do u silenced your rotor? U wrote something a post of yours before! Or did I misunderstood something? Thanks!

I just silenced the rotor with moebius on the bearings, but you can't get away with the sound from vertical play. On the wrist isn't as noticable.

I am wearing 39mm as well, my wrist is 7.5 inch. 36mm is small for me, it looks more dressy.
39mm is more sporty and I like it better for me. It is great size, I have 40mm IWC and it looks a lot bigger than this Explorer 39mm.

Anybody received the 39 yet? Puretime QC is taking a long time, they said it's out of stock.
