Ctime said in the first post that Clean is discounting $50 and Ctime is discounting $70 on top of that…Looking forward to your movement comparison to gen
I wonder if clean will discount their stock of dd4130. Need one for a custom build
Thanks ctime
And for the most concerned part, Clean has reduced the price for 50$ on all the 116xxx models, it's the last stock, there will be no more in the future!
Ctime decided to reduce 70$ on these models for you on the top of our regular discount, and this sale will last until Chinese New Year holidays(5th, Feb, 2024), don’t miss it!
It still sucks broCan’t wait for all the “SH sucks” proselytizers to stfu after this
Exactly! I forgot to mention the exclusivity to Clean, thanks!I imagine the SH4131 they helped design might be their exclusive version. Having the DD4130 was a major selling point, and helping SH design the best 4131 would be too.
Losing exclusivity to the 4130 would definitely encourage clean to be forward thinking and make a move on the 4131/12s. 12s will eventually be the best selling reps.
Interesting, you think they’re going to do the full movement for the 24h anniversary watch? I know I’d get one if they did.…make a move on the 4131/12s. 12s will eventually be the best selling reps.
We've already seen a DD4131 in the new 126500 Daytona models from AR+F... The problem with the DD4131 is that Dandong didn't update the shock setting to be a paraflex spring (yellow arrow). (I mentioned this in my latest updated to the Comprehensive Guide to Rolex Clone Movements)Exactly! I forgot to mention the exclusivity to Clean, thanks!
Isn’t the DD4131 just a 4130 with updated 4131 decorations? We've already seen a DD4131 in the new 126500 Daytona models from AR+F... That's one area where the SH4131 will likely be able to be "better" than the DD4131 because the SH4130 (and by extension the SH4131) use a decoration plate on top of the balance bridge to hide the beat adjustor and regulator arms, and to have a fake hairspring stud. But that decoration plate also has a fake shock setting. This means it's probably quite easy for Shanghai movement factory to just change the decoration plate to have a paraflex spring. This kind of change would have been much harder to Dandong because changing the shock setting on the Dandong 4130 / 4131 would mean re-designing the complete balance bridge to accept a paraflex shock setting.
I thought so... but I was just looking at the picture I posted and what I wrote in my guide, and I was wrong. The Dandong 4131 is an updated movement. Here are the updates (that I can see) of the DD4131 over the DD4130:Isn’t the “4131” from AR+F just a 4130 with updated 4131 decorations?
But that's not a DD.I thought so... but I was just looking at the picture I posted and what I wrote in my guide, and I was wrong. The Dandong 4131 is an updated movement. Here are the updates (that I can see) of the DD4131 over the DD4130:
- Updated column wheel (black arrow).
- Updated vertical clutch jaws and spring (cyan arrow).
- Updated hammer spring peening (orange arrow).
I'll go an update the comprehensive guide. How embarrassing for me that I didn't see these changes earlier.
Damn... you're right. Black dot on the beat adjustor is SH not DD. It's early... I need coffee. But that's not a DD.
Arf uses an SH.
Also... if AR+F is using the SH4131 then how can Clean have "exclusivity"?But that's not a DD.
Arf uses an SH.
Though the SH4131 is built based on SH4130, Clean has upgraded the power reserve to 75 hours and done a lot improvements, such as reshaping oscillating rotor, upgrading the rotor bearing, rebuilding the auto device bridge, changed the shock absorbing part of the balance wheel...
It might not be so different from their exclusive DD4130 contract. Other factories also used that DD4130 - presumably CF was getting their beak wet on those watches? In this case the deal might be even better - only CF gets the “enhanced” SH4131. Or maybe they just charge other factories a premium for it? I guess we’ll see. All complete speculation at this point.Also... if AR+F is using the SH4131 then how can Clean have "exclusivity"?
Or maybe Clean has a different version of the SH4131...
@CTime mentioned specifically that the Clean version of the SH4131 will have a "changed the shock absorbing part of the balance bridge"... So maybe AR+F got an early version / lower tier version of the SH4131 that didn't have the updated balance bridge decoration plate with a paraflex spring.
If different watch factories are going to start getting different versions of the same movement, it's gonna turn the movement naming convention shit storm we already have into a fecal typhoon.
In that case, I wish you the best of luckAlso... if AR+F is using the SH4131 then how can Clean have "exclusivity"?

Because this arf movement is a decorated 4130.It might not be so different from their exclusive DD4130 contract.
