If you mean pictures of the Clean Pepsi v3 franken with the Meteorite dial, I will send when I get QC from TD.

Unfortunately I had to RL the QC the first time around because of what looked like scratches on the bezel and/or rehaut - maybe installation mishap during dial and crystal upgrades:



TD made it right with part replacements, but it all went to shit when the package got stuck in Malaysia. Hoping that round 2 works out!

...the worst wrong effect is about date magnification...

that I prefer because I'm 51 and on the rep I can read the date without glasses and it makes me feel younger LOL

why the F cant they fix the DW mag? Its been released for so long. What's the issue here simply the gasket size? I dont get it how hard it is to rectify this.

I wonder, if they change the gasket size to lower the crystal (and thus, the magnification), does the crystal protrusion now not match gen? Or, is it closer to gen?

Then the crystal hits the second hand.

So for them to fix the issue once and for all, they would need to fix the gasket and the height of the second hand

The gen case has a lower flange than the CF one, the gasket supplied with the gen crystal is 2.2 mm high. These gen crystal + gen gasket measurements are produced by Rolex to have the right glass height (a little protruding from the bezel) and the correct date magnification. I just assembled it including the gen case. As you can see the dial in the gen is less sunken. The gen hands do not touch the glass in this case but it must be said that my 3285 movement comes from a CF V1 (in the first series there was no problem with the hands touching the glass). This is the result with all gen parts (except movement):

Correct! Shaving the seconds hand generally works but yes it’s annoying to immediately send a new watch to the modder. For these reasons I prefer to go with C+ as they have a better hand stack height without the DD movement.

Ordered it from my favorite TD... keeping the clean crystal on it - trusting the views on this thread that there is no need for a deep crystal upgrade and that OOTB it's good to go!

you have to trial and error between 2.5 and 2.7 gaskets. 2.5+deep worked on my pastel clean v2.

for me from the photos I've seen the crystal needs to be changed...the rep crystals with cyclops lenses seem too fake to me

Stock clean gmt vs gen sub vs vsf sub. When the ar coating isn’t needed there’s no need to change the crystal but when you look at it from an angle or when there’s a lot of reflections it can be argued that there’s a reason to change the crystal.
