Clean GMT-II Pepsi updated bezel insert V2/V2s review and comparison

When quickly comparing my SuperFranken with my friends Clean V3S - I did notice a difference, especially when it came to the platinum filled numbers on the Gen insert...

It's the 3D effect the Gen insert gives off in the light, the engravings are obviously deeper & the platinum makes them Pop!

on the left clean, on the right the gen. in addition to the different blue and red color, the white of the numbers on the gen bezel is very noticeable, compared to the gray of the clean. have you noticed on yours too?

sorry, if I understood correctly the one on the left and on your wrist in the second photo has the gen bezel, right? if so, in fact the difference in color of the numbers in the gen insert is very noticeable. where can I find the gen insert? how much does it cost? is it a difficult job to replace? thanks!

It is due to this very effect, specially in sunlight, that I´ve been tempted more than once to do a white mod on the insert numbers using one of

Kj2020 useful tutorials... but I just can´t, lol

No one will reconize its a rep anyway.

Last week a watch collector and friend told me "nice watch", he asked to see it so i've removed it from my wrist, (he wear a gen batman as daily), the only things he said was "it's strange, your bezel action is "smooth", after turning it in all directions like he was trying to open a vault, he said something is wrong with the bezel, apart that he wasn't able to say if it was a fake or gen, he even played with the movement with the jumping hour function, this ended to lost him

Gen like or not, I like v3 and AliX the best. Personal preference. Too many variations of Gen for me to care about Gen likeness.

The V3 is nice. And I do like my Xing. I can't bring myself to purchase a gen....yet.

Weird, my OG v2 (similar to this pic from Jose) had the thinner font and the more pastel colors. Anyways I think the Ali and Rep inserts are all generally off from gen and like you said, doesn’t really matter.

Hi,
I am newbie in the rep world but i already made 2 purchases in the last 2 months. I am looking to do my third one and this time i am looking for a GMT II Pepsi.
I am searching since last week RWI and Reddit for a solid comparison between Clean vs ARF V3 models and still i cant make a verdict.
Some people say that ARF is better straight out of the box without moding, that ARF looks closer to Gen.

What i gathered so far for ARF is that rehaut is more polished, date appears slightly less magnified (which would be closer to gen), bezel numbers are slightly different and the movement is different.
The Clean V3 version is more expensive than the ARF one, and thats because of the movement mainly?!

I am not moding my watches at least not yet. But if something happens to my watches i would like to have them serviced.
Do you think that Clean overall is worth the extra bucks or ARF is a solid option?
