A quick update above’s message:

I was sent a different inner photo with a new serial number, Y2L6, which is what I was expecting. Rather than the one they previously sent—Y2L3.

I asked for the rest of the QC since she only sent me an inner photo for the Y2L6, but instead she’s asking for payment before my QC!



I’m being asked to pay before I see my future watch. She said, this is their process. I know the process and it’s not like this.

Can CTime please confirm??
Reading that it means it’s in stock at the factory, that’s why 3 days for QC..

Yes this is completely normal. You need to do some reading to understand ordering process. Some TDs will let you put deposit but that's not all of them.

Regarding Y2L3 L6V6 Y2L6 all 3 are still in use with latest models so this is a non issue.

Does anybody here who purchased from CTime pay first before their QC is being shown?!?
1. You put in the order for the watch you want with CTime and make payment.
2. Once payment has been received CTime will order the watch.
3. Factory will let CTime know that the watch can be picked up. This can range from a few days to a few weeks so be patient.
4. QC pics will be taken and sent to you.
5. You either GL (green light) for shipping or RL (red light) to request another watch.
6. If you gave the GL, CTime will confirm your address and get the watch ready for shipping. If you gave a RL the process of waiting for a new watch starts again.
7. CTime will send you the tracking number so you can check the progress of the watch.
8. Watch arrives and you are the happiest you have ever been about your new purchase.

Nothing in this forum states that a deposit is required. Unless, it’s hidden somewhere where it can’t be found.

I know TDs are respected and all—I get that part. I also know not to buy from thin air. Paying for something you haven’t seen—no photos—no nothing and sending $$$, sounds out of the purchasing process?

Thanks for taking the time to confirm. That is the same number I found from their page and the number I contacted.

They wanted a $50 deposit instead of full payment—I did. Waiting for QC now.

No dealer will send QC without money, whether or a deposit or full payment. They need to order the watch from the factory first, then when they have it hand they send you the photos. They won't order it without money sent first.

There are hundreds of reviews of people buyinv watches documenting their experience.

You say you've done research but you haven't even taken the time to read the dealer's section you're buying from 🤔

I honestly thought I’ve done enough research! Been lurking, reading, including all 153 pages in this thread and ALL of CTime’s threads.

I don’t think there’s such thing as “enough reading” because after I get the Pepsi I’ll be switching to the Explorer I’s threads, which I also have already been reading, lurking, etc.

Explorer I, from CF has a flaw right now in marker batches that I would wait until it's resolved.

After chatting with CTime, I got a QC with a Y2L3 serial number. She said, “this is our previous clients serial #.”

Page 153, two people indicated that YL26 is the latest version.

So, what’s this new Y2L3 serial?

Also, is this QC indicates V3s or V3 or V1 :)?


It seems like clean has both serials for V3s, most likely they had stock of the Y2L3 cases.
