Thanks, a lot, I was guessing they were selling insert alone but wasn't sure. The V3s is different than the clean one then? I will read more of this thread about that!
Both of them are from Clean, just slightly different inserts. Both are great.

Hi Friends, I have a v1 Clean GMT II, from the very first batch. I read that there is something with the crystal gasket on these and that they are not waterproof. I have not had mine tested, but am very nervous and frequently will not wear on trips since I am not confident to get it wet. I really like the watch and would like to have this confidence. Does anyone know if there is a solution before I bug my watch smith? Are the newest v2/v3 waterproof generally?

Thanks

There is NEVER certainty that your watch is really water proofed, unless your watchsmith or you have already tested it.

Otherwise I don´t recommend having it near water or too much moisture, ever. I rinse my watches regularly with tap water and soap and a couple of weeks ago got water inside my IWC ingenieur. Bummer. Had to take it to my watch guy to fix it. Fortunately, no damage sustained.

Wow never thought IWC QC is this poor, I always swim with my black bay 54 and no problem with it, I guess diver watch come with better water proof QC

Get it tested. All rep watches should be tested. They can be made water proof but these are replica watches with no QC on assembly. I've seen alot of shit. Pinched gaskets. Improperly assembled gaskets. Missing gaskets. Caseback not tightened. Fyi my V1 Clean GMT is water proofed to and tested to 3bar. But i still dont take it to water.

Reaaapsss.. question for you, if it gets steamy inside the dial, does that mean it’s not waterproof ?

Oof. Depends.

It could mean the watch isn't water resistant.

But it could be that the watch was assembled in a high humidity environment, [i.e china] and then when exposed to colder environments the moisture inside is causing fogging.

Remeber, real swiss watches are assembled in highly controlled and regulated environment.

Either way go get it tested.

After reading all these posts.. is my Clean Factory GMT Master II Pepsi V1 still a desirable version? From what I can tell, everyone with a new Pepsi has the same Y2L3 or L6V6 serial # so my V1 (Y8C clasp code) is unique in that way. I purchased in April of 2022 and it's still going strong. No mods, never serviced the original VR3185 movement. Still looks great. The red is a little rusty colored, but maybe at some point gen was like that.

Should I look into upgrading the crystal and gasket? What about the bezel? Or just forget it and get the latest V3S?

I’d say just get a new bezel from Ctime and maybe a gen crystal upgrade rest looks great, ur dial, rehaut and rehaut code isn’t widely known like the newer ones

yeah.. thanks.. wondering if there is a solution though, ive read the case design is incorrect for gen crystal and crystal gasket, and the only solution is glue. i am hoping there is a better solution. sorry to clog up thread, my original question i suppose could have been written better.. thanks for the advice.

That is what I was thinking, but given the video is taken in very dark lighting I was not sure. I think the dark room may be making the blue portion appear a little brighter red than it would in more normal lighting. I have a xing insert I'm looking to replace with a V3...so I just want to make sure I'm getting a V3. I think the V3s is too close in appearance to my xing insert and not worth it for me....hence the question about which version in the video.

Which insert for now is closest to gen?
Modded my v2s with gen crystal & gasket, lip mod, serviced and thinking about next upgrade.
Geniue spring click or insert from xing?
New bracelet (got one with y8c clasp).
