Several customers(Korean rep watch forum)found difference of product compared to Claen product and requested the TD for verification. It turned out that this batch was delivered by one of Clean sub supplier who is a cousin of the owner of the Clean factory and the supplier used fake VSF parts"

Actually after frankening CF no date I thought the first thing you should do is swap a gen crystal. That alone adds such a difference and gen like feel. Rest can be done later if at all and perhaps the insert. If I get a new one that will be the first thing I’ll do and its good to go in most part.

Gen crystal is so much clearer and finer.

CF crystal is foggy and has as some one said those ghost reflections all over.

Thanks for the very clear explanation, bud Never went the frankening route so I dont know where to find gen parts :/ can you share a couple of sources where I can find a gen crystal? And is it plug and play?

ebay & paypal is not authorized in our country (Turkey) so there are very few international sources I can buy & pay with

Best place to start is M2M section interaktiv and sub007 sell a lot gen parts if something is not listed just contact them and ask they probably can get it for you. You can also put up a WTB post in the WTB section of the forum.

Gen crystal for CF yes is plug&play.

Better crystal even more important with date. CF cyclops / black hole is awful.

Yes on date its a must but its bad enough even for no date to swap it makes a big difference in my experience adds a more gen look.

Though I was completely fine with for a long time it until I saw the difference and then came the revelation that ohh that's why gens look that way.

QC came through last night. 1LD bracelet, no sketchiness there. Looks fantastic overall, I will probably GL this once I review the whole dial. +1s/d 309* and 0.0ms movement seems healthy!

Anyone else's Clean sub feel very rough when winding? Works great and keeps good time, but much rougher feel when winding it compared to any of my other watches.

It is, but I haven't worn it much. I decided to send it off for a service rather than risk it. We'll see if that solves anything. If not, nothing left to do but wear it anyways. I expect to get it back in a week or so.

Here is what I have to say. Perhaps this might be random for some or many, but lately so called “trusted” dealers are lying about their QC and true status with factory. TD claimed that the new CF subs are “updated” from crown, lumes, case…etc. They are all bullshit. I got one several months ago and recently got another after he had promised that things are “updated/upgraded” …well guess what, the 114060 and the 116010 are basically the same exact crap. Despite asking the QC lady to verified my specific concern, she would tell you they are all fine and that “everything looks really good”…the lume is still PINK, and bezel is like a cheap low quality toy with backplay and loose to name a few. CG is still straight as before. Be warned, In the end you are paying for the exact same watch that had disappointed you in the first place, except this time you might be angry because they flat out lied. I am NEVER touching another CF crap again. Not so long ago, their so called 904L was really 316. What a track record.

I don’t know if some members here are getting incentives to keep these type of stories from spreading as it will hurt their rep market(wouldn’t all be surprising if so called members are just really dealers themselves) BUT REMEMBER…the reason why rep has improved so much in recent year is becuz of competition and honest blunt feedbacks from members like myself. Someone have to speak up so TD and factory will not continue to scam us.

I know 100% someone here will go against what I just said…soo used to it. I would be more surprise to see someone agreeing to it.

Trusted by this very forum. I'm sorry that you faced issues with them, but the reason they're called TD is that they've been delivering quality service to hundreds or thousands of members here. And if they hadn't or had stopped doing so they would lose their TD status. Have you raised an escalation with the mods here?

It's looser than a retired Vegas escort.

Other than that it's a great watch.

FYI: I purchased a Clean 114060 and the bezel action is trash.

It's looser than a retired Vegas escort.

Other than that it's a great watch.

I have two CF subs and same issue with bezel action. Once you do some work with it and clean it under the bezel it'll turn even more loosely. In the other hand once more dirt gets in there and if you swim the rep click springs / balls will rust and it makes it stiffer I swam with it all summer long. You can try the mod where you add some fishing line around it to make it stiffer.

I franekend the no date and gen click springs fixed that now it clicks with nice action like gen.

I received my QC for the LB.

One thing I drectly noticed was the sticker on the back. Not that I really care about it but it just seemed weird. It's not coloured but B/W.

I remember someone posting about something like this and saying that these stickers could become collectable.
