but given that any gen has flaws until you superfranken/casework mod it the caseback would be on the end of my mod list on this one
especially as the bezel is really off

Just be careful with your QC's. The QC's i've seen so far have had consistent DW printing flaws (high 5 on the 15 and left justified, etc). Deal breaker? No. But still maybe the next batch would be better?

Getting a gen insert/bezel assembly? It is platinum, I can't imagine how deep the cost would be

tried to order whole bezel assembly from chrono24 for $1,300 but it was already sold and the listing hasn’t been updated

expensive yes, but not too crazy compared to sub parts actually

With a replica you should always be able to make compromises. Otherwise you should buy a gene right away! Clean, the new Yachtmaster did a perfect job for me!

The Clean bezel is definately better than most factory, still the numbers on the bezel is a bit thicker than gen. The dial is ok but the sunburst is not good enough imo. I think ARF has better dial. I wonder if one can fit ARF dial in a clean case ? ARF rehaut is good enough, I don't know about Clean rehaut but but usually it's pretty good.

Whole bezel assembly for $1,300 sounds like a fair deal!

That and then dial would be my modding priorities for this one. Not sure if gen Rhodium 126622 dials are out there in the wild though...

It’s only v1 let’s hope maker fix all issues and not lazy.

there is (or was) one on chrono24 that's around $3,600.
According to reviews the CF rhodium dial is the closest to gen with about 95% but that number is pretty subjective I guess. They probably are talking about the color itself because we all know what the flaws with the markers etc are

For my taste at this moment the comparison videos look pretty close and for me not worth the $3,600.

I was literally thinking the same exact thing when reading some of these replies. I’m so excited to get my CF this week in the mail.

Even if it does, CF uses the VR3235, not sure if it's top plate has the exact configuration as the 3235 to house the gen dial though. One thing for sure VS3235 does. Will VSF surprise us by coming with this YM40

I wonder (only!) about the clean bezel insert in viewing videos / QC pics posted ...in pics/video looks to lack any (proper platinum) texture and color too light.. fwiw, hope member photos with watch in hand prove this wrong !

@Submariner23 und @Roughwatch Genau meine Meinung! Die beste Yachtmaster-Replica! Da stimmt auch der Kronenschutz! In diesem Video ist zu erkennen, dass die neue Yachtmaster im Vergleich zur Gen perfekt ist. Bei der Lünette sind auch keine Zahlen zu dick. Die besten Lünetten hatten bisher BP und EWF. Meine Clean-Yachtmaster ist bestellt!

@Submariner23 and @Roughwatch Exactly my opinion! The best Yachtmaster replica! The crown protection is also right! In this video you can see that the new Yachtmaster is perfect compared to the Gen. No numbers are too thick on the bezel either. The best bezels so far have had BP and EWF. My Clean-Yachtmaster is ordered!

A photo from the forum shows that the numbers on the bezel are much too wide for NOOB, for example. Also at ARF.

great job by CF, I find the blue dial tending to purple with light changes, good insert but still far from the gen, a simple problem that they can solve with little is to make it flat and not inclined, I don't know why they continue with this form. I remain happy owner of my ARF clone 3135

it feels like it’s a CF issue accross the board where even their GMT has datewheel alignment issues, I will wait for v2 if I can. These picks are enticing though.

Personally I think they messed up on the RG which I thought they would do good on. It's still much too bronze instead of the light pink on gen.
