Getting To Know The Place
Got mine yesterday and its an amazing piece. Incredibly close to gen. Clean's best work so far. I would say near impossible to find any meaningful tells beyond the cyclops construction and LEC arrangement.
How did you get on with this build?
I’m looking at doing the same!
Does anyone know if the 116622 bezel is the same ?
Between the blue dial and the slate dial, which one is closer to genuine? In my opinion, it seems that the slate has the edge. The blue dial looks good, but in some of the images, it almost looks blue / purple.
It seems that certain colors are easier to replicate (usually black, grey and white). This isn’t specific to the YM, but seems to be the case for various other factories and lineups. I don’t want to deviate from this discussion, but dials like the hulk submariner are hard to replicate, but the black dial sub is hard to mess up color-wise.

yes sir, the rhodium is better, reps cannot accurately replicate the rolex blue especially in sunlight where the blue doesnt keep its dark tone and turns purpleish on the reps whilst gens maintain the blue hue

Received mine aswell great quality.
Have a gen complete bezel assambly,crown xtal hands.
Will send them to tomrep to get it all installed.
I maybe will change the movement with my VSF sub41.
But I must say it’s a realy great watch OOTB

I think realy realy good especially when compared to the CF Pepsi the clicks are also very good at least in mine.
But will change to gen anyway

Are you gonna be standing next to someone in the dark comparing lumes? That would vary depending on charging.
Lume fills are never a tell either, cause even gens have lumes that are overfilled or underfilled, all within what Rolex calls: "Tolerance Standards."

Does anyone know how difficult it would be to get an aftermarket gen Rolex bezel for this watch?

Lume brightness and time duration is relevant to how well charged the lumes are. Under normal conditions, not even gen Rolex lumes last for hours, nor are they obnoxiously bright.
How do these compare to the ewf watches? I've heard nothing but good things about them and have heard people say "they look stunning, especially for $300". Are there parts of it that look better than the clean? Is it just considered a bargain for the price? I read through a comparison showing the differences in case shaping as well as the overall finishing between the two but wasn't sure which is closer to gen or which is more accurate. Any info would be appreciated!

I did try putting the watch under UV light for 15 seconds but yet it couldn't withstand for an hour.
Just thought to get ideas/experiences from everyone else here.
