For comparison 116520 and 116500 , notice the subdials reflections

Both are CF daytonas with gen 116520 and 116500 dials respectively

Excellent comparison shot that shows the difference in gen dials very clearly.

very valuable information from Tony Clifton and MFK100 THANKS!

I think the ARF 116520 Dial competes just great with the Gen. Luckily i still have ARF V2 sitting in the Box in case my ordered CF Steel Daytona should come with a trash dial like the Ceramic version :)

Thank you very much.
The ARF Dial is at the moment still the best option. Only flaws are that the subdials are a fraction of a millimeter too thick and the Daytona writing over the 6 o'clock subdial uses the 116500 font instead of the 116520. When installed in the watch and worn on the wrist this is impossible to see due to the red lettering on the black background.

Thanks for the info.

Honestly i'm, not hoping - but expecting the black dial of the 116520 from CF also being with fat subdials. That's why i ordered the white dial version. If that should suck as well i will put in my black ARF dial. Would be interesting to know if a dial shave (diameter reduction) is necessary to fit the ARF dial into the CF case like it was necessary to fit the ARF dial in the Noob case...

I just received a QC photo of the 116520 black dial from my TD.

I was a little surprised that it was sooner than I expected.

Looks great to me. Is this the same dial as in 116500?

Definitely not! Look at te Rolex Logo on the Dial compared to the one on the ceramic version. Overall pretty good i would say. print on subdial seems to be a bit bold? And unfortunately subdials seem to have same diameter like ceramic version in my opinion.

I ordered the white version already.

I am not familiar with the 116520.

I personally am very happy with it, but I would like to get an expert opinion.
The dial is from an 116520 and the 27 and 33 lines seem to have been corrected.

That’s all that matters and I would also be very happy with it. Looks fantastic.

Lets hope it goes to shipping ASAP.

Enjoy it when it lands

Thank you for your time.

We have Chinese New Year coming up, the impact of the coronavirus, and the Beijing Olympics.

I think it will take some time because of the delay in logistics.

I will post pictures when they arrive.

Not an expert on daytonas here but personally the easiest difference on the dial between the 6520s and the 6500s is the spacing on the 5liner texts

On the 116520 "ROLEX" covers the "TER PERPET" letters from the second line while on the 116500 it covers "STER PERPETU". And obviously on the LN dial is the difference between matte and shiny subdials reflection. Anything else (27-33 minute lines, APH, boldness etc.) I think it's just period variations

Thank you for the clear explanation.

I think the CF 116520 is very well made.
I look forward to your opinion.

It looks great to me. I'll order it at some point in the future.

Do you have a lume shot? Is it CL (blue) or SL (green)?

I'm sorry.

I approved the QC photo but did not request a room shot.

I don't know because I don't have any photos at this stage.
