This image montage is problematic. The ARF dial (right side) is slightly larger scaled than the one on the left. This is clearly visible in the minute printings. This makes the subdials appear equally fat, although they are fatter on the left.

Just compare the two pics I posted, left and right.

ooook if you prefer we put the same type of photo of jtime to eliminate doubts: Arf Vs Clean

Coincidentally, I just did the same thing. ARF is still slimmer for me. For example, on the 3 o'clock subdial, look at the distance between the top of the "20" to the rim. Or the same with the „6“ at the 9 o‘clock subdial.

Nearer than you think
I agree, they look similar but the CF subdials rings look a tiny bit thicker, not really the outer edge, but the inner one, it looks as if the black inner subdial circle is smaller in the CF and wider in the ARF

(ignore the circled outer lip)

That is what I want to express all the time. To be honest, I'm not 100% sure if it's inside or outside or the rim. But ARF just seems a little thinner, ergo better for me.

I think I will order a CF and then make a comparison with my ARF dial :drinks_cheers:

Yeah true, and that's a problem, since the ARF subdials are already at the limit of "acceptable", they already are almost too thick, if the CF happens to have thicker subdials it's not gonna be good :(

Let's hope that the white dial won't have thick subdials

High resolution Black Dial Gen 116520 compared to Clean V1... (sorry but those sub-dials are fat)
.
jCRKR5.jpg

its already obvious by looking at it, but this is the ultimate proof. It’s not a lot but enough to catch the eye. It hives the whole dial a complete different appearance.

i still have a black V2 ARF and will keep this. I ordered already a white CF 116520 so if the white dial sucks as well I will just put the ARF dial in…

Ah cool, happy days:thumbsup:

Am excited about the release of the white dial, which seems to be scheduled for after CNY, saving the best for last perhaps ;)

This and a CF124060 will likely be my next order, unless something else jumps out at me in the meantime :eek:hwell:

Hope you have a great Sunday Sir

We have exactly the same taste just I have to go with DJ36 Wimbledon from GMF first, I just cant resist that beauty. Then those 2 watches you mentioned above and im good at least until end of summer ;)

WTF, look like something is missing.????????????

Skill scrolling.. not sure if anyone has addressed your post yet. But I believe this is the point Li made in original post. Factory recognizes the sample has dial print error at 33 but will fix in production.

CF Subdials are not NOOB V1 fat, but compared to gen and arf v2 the fatter subdials are very visible…imho.

i think the bezel on the CF is actually quite good…

…full franken

Can any knowledge members explain what kind of gen parts put in the watch can say as full Franken. Ex. Except case, bracelet and movement or what? Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure there's an official definition for this but a franken needs to have a least 1 gen part (some are more picky as to which gen parts count ;) ), a watch made entirely of gen parts would be a genstein, so I guess a full franken would be everything gen except mid case and bracelet. That means movement, crystal, hands, datewheel, dial, tube, crown maybe pushers

Li replied on to the question on Reddit saying "Just have communicated with factory about the [27 and 33 minute markers] you pointed out. [The factory] Answered as: This is just a dial printing error on the sample they[factory] gave us [Li], their official release stock wont have this issue."

So… nobody has taken into consideration that the 116520 came in what, 28 different dial versions? You need to compare all the dial variations to determine if it indeed is thicker. The gen differs between versions regarding sub dial thickness.
