Mine is the v3 and the case does not have the correct code. It says 116500…someone know or can check if clean corrected the serial engraving between lugs with correct 116520 code?
Stunning! Specs??
Looks like gen dial/bezel and crystal
Clean V3 base,
Gen dial superluminova
Relumed hands
Completley rework the case side profile to have gen like “ruonded” profile
Lowered rehaut
Shaved off rehaut “rolexrolexrolex”
Xing bezel
Nice build! I was planning also to remove the rehaut branding. But i have a CL Dial. So i wonder if it would be period correct ot have a non rehaut case with Chromalight!?
Finally, is there also the wrong 116500 case engraving as you have the V3 from Clean?
Subdials on 116520 models are quite different to 116500, even gen wise, the 116520 were a bit more dull (depending on year of production), on 116500 are shinier. So it depends on the build you are after, in my opinion if you get a 116520 you might want change the dial to gen if you can, if you on the other hand get a 116500 you can even keep rep dial, even better with white dial as you said as they are black so not very noticeable compared to gen.For the clean v3 - is difference in subdial materials visible vs gen? (Assume it’s SS vs WG which I think is quite visible). How do people feel about it?
plan to purchase one - prefer black but for the above reason leaning towards Panda where subdials are at least black…
thanks!
Unfortunately I didn't QC hard and have the same batch issue. There's no good way to resolve this, just sell it on with the disclosed issue at a discount and buy a new one. Or source a new 116500 case (they come up around sometimes) and live with the wrong engraving.Bothering me a lot and wanted to know if anyone tried polishing it down?
I heard a guy on reddit had it polished down by a jeweller, never got pics of results. dont think this would work?Unfortunately I didn't QC hard and have the same batch issue. No, I don't think it would work sir. Because you need to add material not remove it. Compare to original, this "flat" part should actually be curved.I heard a guy on reddit had it polished down by a jeweller, never got pics of results. dont think this would work?
