Hi Nikz19 if I may, I'd like to ask for your professional input regarding this movement.
I saw your reddit post a few months ago where you showed a complete teardown of the 4130 and expressed how impressed you were with it.
Assuming the Clean movement is identical to the Noob to avoid speculation, do you think using the chrono would cause the watch to explode as many members on here seem to think? Or moderate use (let's say for argument's sake, 4-5 times a week) should not cause terminal damage to the watch, having intimately worked on the movement? (If maintained)
Other watchmakers or people who have serviced the 4130 feel free to chime in. Just trying to cut through the baseless speculation on here, from people with more knowledge on the subject for the benefit of members.
Thanks in advance.
Without wanting to preempt Nik's reply, i would hazard a guess to say that if the movement has been serviced and reassembled with care, then moderate use of the chrono would be ok, however i have always understood that excessive or prolonged use of the chrono puts additional wear and strain on the movement over that of normal operation, that being true of gen movements too.
