I watched most of the video. Later on in the video a watch repairman took it apart. He claimed the movement was gen. The crown was NOT. Earlier Eric said it was a NOOB. These guys were analyzing the shit out of the dial, the movement, the bracelet, everything. They were studying it with a loupe. Scary that they took such a long time to determine it was a rep.

But I suspect that you put it on this thread and people could tell you in an instant. Just depends on your microscopic knowledge of a topic I suppose.

It is blueish as already stated in this thread, however I think this can be noticed only next to a gen and still not that easy for a normal guy
I’m looking to buy one and still on the fence regarding this blue hue but I’m almost convinced that in real world is hard to tell without having a gen next to you.

Anyway thanks for the YT link, interesting.

That blue hue and green strap. Resplendent in the sunshine.

The blue hue is only noticeable is certain lights, I notice it more in direct sunshine, but under artificial lighting it seems less obvious which seems a little souter intuitive.

Is it the dial or could it be the crystal ?

The row of dots is straight, it should be curved.

On steel yes, on precious no.

But yea, I didn't notice this yet. Defo a replacement needed in the 520 and 500.

How is the crown incorrect?

The row of dots is straight, it should be curved.

Actually it's much worse than just the row of dots being straight. The dots are positioned too high and are too small....and the crown is way too small as well (see comparison below). If it were only the dots not being properly curved, I think many of us could probably live with it (not me of course :D). This is the quality of crown you can expect to find on a $35 canal street special.

The crown on my CF 116500 broke off the stem and crown tube the day I received the watch. Luckily I was able to get it repaired. Never had the chance to wind the watch to see how smooth it feels before it broke- when winding it now it feels gritty like the VR movement. Is the winding suppose to feel this gritty? Not sure if that's how it's suppose to feel originally or if it's different now since it was repaired.

Didn't expect it to be this gritty for being a Dandong movement since it is known for its smooth winding. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Nope, should feel smooth. Unlikely that the repair caused it either, unless something very creative was done with it.

Get it serviced unless you can do the honours yourself, would be my advice.

Was thinking the same. I have three VSF Submariners (LN,LV,and LB) with the VS3135. The buttery smooth winding is no where near of how it winds with the Daytona. I’ll check into getting it serviced.
