I was going to replace it with a pearl I bought from Ali Express, but this cousinsUK was installed as is with just a matte finish.

Great project! But why don’t pay attention on details like CG’s? These, like on anothe case that i’ve seen have wrong polished on the edge. Why after all of this work you haven’t fixed yet? I’m OCD person, so i’ve noticed it immediatly

Yes.
That's a great point.
It may be a habit of the craftsman who made this case.
There are some parts I'd like to fix, such as the chamfering of the lugs.

I'll take my time and tinker with it.

I am an amateur at processing cases.

I'm not very confident about self sharpening.

I received a click spring and glass gasket from cousinsUK.
I like high crystal, so I think it's better.
The clicking sensation has also improved a lot since I replaced the click spring.

cousinsUK has four 28.6 gaskets
2.0, 2.2, 2.7 and 3.2.
I bought 2.7 and 3.2 gaskets for 1.65 euro each and tried them.
I think 2.7 is the closest to GEN.

I used 3.2 because I prefer the high one.

Okay this is going to be the most interesting thread here in a while!

I have a gen 14060M, but I'm still interested in building another one to actually wear and not have to worry about as much.

Have a look at "Fiery Gems" on ebay - GEN 16610LN inserts seem to be going as low as $20 at the moment, in auction. Market is in the toilet for GEN parts... for now... get hoovering!

They are... albeit most seem to be building 14060s on a 16610 base... and they (Fiery Gems) have 14060 inserts as well

Is the rehaut a little too deep? That's the only concern I have. I might sell my genuine 14060M and build one instead.

Maybe I replaced the glass gasket with a 3.2mm one because of my preference, so the rehout looks deeper.
It might be different if I had used the original gasket.

That first photo gives me a ton of confidence. My biggest concern with going to this build is the lugs. Raffles looks to sof. The lugs look pretty good here even on the chamfers.

I know you've done silian builds previously, after doing this one do you prefer this or the Silian case?
