CF Pepsi picture leaks BLRO

Any improvement on the bezel action with the gen click spring and retaining ring in place (ie does the bezel actually click from each position or is it still pretty mushy)?

The retaining ring pretty much fixes everything - I ended up using the only other one I had on my VRF LN and that went from having the absolute worst bezel feel to being perfect. I no longer have an extra retaining ring for my yet to be modded BLNR so that will just get a new gen click spring, I'll report back on if that is enough to fix the CF mush.

If you don't mind, were you referring to getting a gen bezel+insert set or just the bezel?

Will be just the gen bezel part (not a gen insert - I was pretty impressed with the CF one / would rather save a few thousand dollars!).

I had previously installed a VR jubilee, and today I installed a prof crystal and a gen Rolex click spring and retaining ring. My BLNR will receive the same treatment + a gen bezel.

Excuse all the fingerprints, I have terrible vision and I didn't realize they were everywhere until now when posting.

I do have one question for the RWI community (and yes I did plenty of searching, including looking at numerous gen chrono24 / ebay listings) - is this crystal height acceptable? I'm leaning towards yes (and/or "screw it it is close enough and I'm not prying the retaining ring off again") - it is clearly a little high but hopefully within reason (example)

Did you get the Prof Crystal with AR on both sides? How much better is it for you than stock CF Crystal? Do you feel like you need to baby the prof Crystal for scratches?

also stock bracelet vs VRF bracelet is the VRF significantly better? Did you just switch VR bracelet from an old watch?

finally, where’d you source your gen springs / retaining? How much did it run you?

thanks for all the info!

it is a little high indeed, but more than that it looks like it's higher on the left side of that pic than on the right

I'm sure someone on here knows the exact details, but I believe Rolex switched from AR on cyclops only to AR cyclops + full AR on underside of the crystal sometime in 2020. I like the deeper black hole effect so I went with AR on cyclops only. Prof can do both. Either way, I believe that AR is on the underside of the cyclops not on top so there's no need to baby it. I definitely won't be.

I have the VR bracelet from a VRF 116710LN that is currently on a rubber strap. I can search for it and PM you later - early on in this thread it was detailed how the inner links near the SEL on the CF/ARF jubilee aren't as large as they are on a gen jubilee. The VR band doesn't have this issue.

I got lucky on the springs and retaining rings on ebay - however I've since looked and haven't seen any. I paid $60 ea for springs and $250 ea for rings.

Thanks for the info bro. Very curious to know if the gen click spring alone will make a nice improvement. Keep us posted.

Hi All, Hi tlander13!

I've noted that my Clean Pepsi (here the -amazing- service done by Johnny Depp, https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...s/9969168-cf-pepsi-picture-leaks-blro/page198)'s bezel has a little horizontal play, in addition to already known softness in rotating.

While the latter is acceptable, the horizontal play drives me crazy! :)

Do you suggest to install a Gen retaining ring and/or a Gen click spring, to fix it?

Thanks!
