Nah I’m a noob. So there is no real value difference in CFs 316 vs ARF 904?

ARF uses an SH3186 movement. I have 5 broken ones in my parts drawer. They are not even worth fixing. ARF dial marker and hands lume is shock white to the point of looking very fake in bright sun. Other than that the ARF GMTs are very nice, parts quality including hands is better than many others. CGs are skinny. I can't bring myself to buy one, though I do have an ARF insert in my Noob Batman. All two piece inserts will show a join line at some angle and direct light combination, though ARF's insert is quite nice.

Ahhh thank you so much for the detailed answer. BK repertorium has an ARF Batman with a 3185 movement and so that’s why I asked. But with your input I guess I’m back to getting CF Pepsis and Batman both.

KJ2020 is one fellow that I would follow when it comes to advice on reps, the amount of work, research, builds and knowledge base that he has accumulated are second to none.

Does CF factory makes BLRO with meteorite dial? Or I have to do custom?

Thanks bro, I'm just a persistent dabbler though haha. Reps give us plenty of opportunity to fix stuff so the more you hang around the more you have to learn how to fix!

KJ2020 and what a dabbler you are, I'm still aiming at that gold Hulk for my wrist one day! Thanks again for the inspirations, bro!

Special photo day for the Hulktimate now that you mention it. Sorry for the off topic post guys.

Hopefully a pleasant little detour, hehe.

I had previously installed a VR jubilee, and today I installed a prof crystal and a gen Rolex click spring and retaining ring. My BLNR will receive the same treatment + a gen bezel.

Excuse all the fingerprints, I have terrible vision and I didn't realize they were everywhere until now when posting.

I do have one question for the RWI community (and yes I did plenty of searching, including looking at numerous gen chrono24 / ebay listings) - is this crystal height acceptable? I'm leaning towards yes (and/or "screw it it is close enough and I'm not prying the retaining ring off again") - it is clearly a little high but hopefully within reason (example)

Yours doesn't look as tall as some I've seen, but I've seen gens sit lower as well.

Using a shorter height gasket is always an option but that will reduce date mag. I place higher priority on proper looking date mag than correct crystal sitting height if you must compromise.

Very nice work, mate, congrats on putting in the gen click spring. That I'm sure would do wonders to the experience.

If you don't mind, were you referring to getting a gen bezel+insert set or just the bezel?

Any improvement on the bezel action with the gen click spring and retaining ring in place (ie does the bezel actually click from each position or is it still pretty mushy)?
