I just got a QC from JTime of what I guess we’ll now call “V1”. This is the first watch I’m purchasing from JTime. Would it be appropriate to inquire about this “V2” model and if it is something that is truly available?

I asked jtime about the new colored inserts and he said it's not true even though two other tds said it is true. Along with pictorial evidence. I don't know if i would trust his word as he has close ties with cf and probably doesn't want to say the updates are true so he can get rid of old stock.

It's been reported that the bezel tension ring (flat washer that goes under the 3 pin click ring) has an inside diameter too small and it grinds against the retaining ring during rotation. So a bunch of grease was their solution. As thin and weak as those washers are made, they really aren't even needed. I have more than one GMT on which I just removed them. Some don't even come with one.

Yes bezel washer was too small to fit over the crystal retainer on mine. I agree the bezel assembly is not the highest quality we’ve seen on these. I removed all the grease and at the moment doesn’t turn. Just waiting for some hytrel rings to refit it all and machine the washer inner diameter larger to slip over better!

the hands look longer and appreciate camera angles etc but compared to a previous QC pic (below) of the same angle and lighting it looks like a lip is more apparent?

Looks like a 1.5, I see a lip but with the older brown bezel insert

now just need the fat lugs to be fixed and will be almost perfect, they may not need to go Noob style V9,V10,V11,V12 may end around V3-V5

Seems promising! If they would change the fat lugs (which I doubt since CFactory uses the same cases for their subs as their GMTs to cut costs), I‘d buy one in a heartbeat. F it, I‘d buy two!

Just got this back. OAS did a great job. This now has a gen xtal and gen datewheel =) have a gen xtal and datewheel ready to go whenever the BLNR arrives. Got QC pics of it last week so it will get the same treatment. Tried to get a couple in different lighting but it’s night time here on the east coast.

This is a nice improvement to the bezel.

Minute hand is now too long, before it was too short. On the gen it's the exact same length as the seconds hand which is just a tiny fraction shy of the tip of the minute ticks.

When everyone just received their BLRO a while ago, CF now dumps the improved version onto the market.
It makes me wonder if CF launched the 1st batch with the intention of just to use up those faulty parts

that's the exact reason they launched the alternate CF/ZZF branding, so they could sell the updated model with one brand at a high price and also work through their old stock with the cheaper
