Hope yous dnt mind me posting my jfk this is a work in progress tonight I just done the cremated bezel insert 😂 extreme ghost look and shaving the crown guards by hand with needle files so still got a couple sessions to go before they are perfect and plenty more polishing to go before it’s in a perfect state but as it sits right now I like how it’s coming on for my first attempt at modding on a 1680 vintage 👌

I was using PA462-20A plexi and clark bezel set on a JKF case, but it was stiff and would not rotate.

I replaced the plexi RP29-19S service dome with a Star time plexi RP29-19S and the bezel started to rotate.

It might be good for JKF cases such as Star time's RP29-19C.

Where did you get the crystal please I have a raffels 5513 I would like to change the crystal also?
It was sourced from Gleave & Co. but to be honest although I was happy at first having mounted the xtal I got some moist inside the xtal on a rainy day and realized it did not hold tight. Tried to make the xtal fit better but never really got it perfect (got it water tight but not the fit I wanted), eventually decided the Raffles case was not worth the effort and pivoted the build to a different mid case.

Love this thread, full of useful info and more importantly, 5513 porn. A question if I may, I’m currently building a 5512 using a raffles case as a base. Does anyone know of anywhere other than raffles I can get a dial to fit the case? It’ll be an nh38 movement and dial to fit case will need to be 28.5mm if I’m not mistaken. Thanks

If you do Raffles case, best use Raffles dials
I don’t know of reliable 28.5mm dial providers besides Raffles, but keen to know

They don’t have a 5512 dial but I was thinking of using the 4 line 6538 instead if there’s no alternative

Hi everyone, does anyone know where to get a dial for a Milisub case from Aliexpress with an NH38 movement? I need another option other than the Raffles website. In in Germany. Thanks!

Finished my Milk build last week with a 2824 and later messed up the keyless works. Ended up tossing in an NH35 movement instead of the ETA. It took much trial and error and tweaking to get it in perfectly, but is keeping great time.

I feel your pain with the Eta keyless, replaced with NH movement a few times now.

Hi all, is JKF 5513 still available for purchase anywhere today in 2025? I believe the models were first launched in 2016, I am not even sure if the factory still exists. If anyone has info of which TD, I will be grateful. Thanks.
