One of the more important details, when it comes to the final result if you ask me, is the bezel insert.
Without Tripdog, who was kind enough to sell me the insert, this built should have been just another average Milsub builds...
Maybe it still is, but to me, the insert was a real smashing hit... And in a few days from now, I will replace the dial, this time CrownArtCustoms is the supplier and hopefuly that investment will add some extra shine together with the insert...

Nice project. On your insert, check the shape of your “2” - the lower half is incorrect (or refer to my post earlier in this thread). CAC has a better version.

Thanx Jackflash for your input about the Font design...

That's a never ending subject that easily can keep anyone awake like forewer.
I know about CAC,s skills, but to say that he has a better version is... your definition... I would say, different but not better...

When it comes to MoD,s design of the inserts, there was over time slightly changes of the fonts. A lot of the existing Milsubs might not have the original bezel and inserts, as replacements, sometimes with slightly different fonts, were issued during servicing...
So to say what's the Mother insert of all Milsub,s that's a subject i don't think we will never get a straight answer of...

Conclusion:
Whats Wright/Wrong/Better/Worse/
Correct/Incorrect and so on, is a very subjective issue and it is absolutley free to speculate further about the optimal, most correct font.
I'm more than pleased with my insert and I even ordered one more from the same manufacturer and that's the most important for me...

Over and out...

It's allways nice to get new inputs, that's the best way to improve the skills...🤗👍
I understood your post to mean that the insert I selected has an incorrectly designed number 2
but since English is not my native language, I may have misunderstood your post completely.
I have done things like that before and it will most likely happens again.. Sorry about that
Regards 🤗🫶

Do you have a genuine Phoenix Admiral Grey strap for your watch?
Yes, I do. Although, I tend to wear the watch on a Perlon, or a CNS strap as in the photo.
Phoenix strap prices have exploded since they stopped making them.

Yes, i know, from like 12-14 USD and up...
I made a huge misstake, learning by doing, and ordered from Phoenixstraps.com
Later I found out that they are selling counterfaked products that has absolutley NOTHING to do with the Phoenix NOS watch straps from UK...
Myself, I prefer the 18mm width... but I have both 18 and 20 mm Original NOS
