It really does. I just bit off a bit more than I could chew financially with the project. I got so lost in the build, I didn’t notice how expensive it was until after it was done.

After wearing it the last few days, I am finding it harder and harder to take off. It honestly might stay at this point.

If you need the money sometimes things have to be sacrificed. These things happen I guess. Should probably put it in M2M here with a link to the thread but it would have to be at build cost I think.

I don’t have an issue with that.

Here is my bezel insert from Crown Art Customs.
He worked with me to get the color I wanted.
Super nice guy.

He actually has some insane dials too but only for ETA builds.

This insert is sick! I knew that CAC has really nice inserts but I didn't know he sold dials at all. Do you know if he only does 5517 dials or other vintage Rolex dials too?

He no longer does dials. He only had the 5517 dial.

It was left over stock. I THINK he has 1 left but I’m not 100% on that.

I didn’t end up using his dial though.

Also FYI, if you see it again please keep posting it here. It is a scammer. I already had my brother delete the listing and have been wearing it everyday. Not selling it. Keep posting here to make sure no one buys it.

It is a direct re-link from ebay to the account (with a similar user name to your old one) it was originally being sold from, so perhaps your brother's account was hacked as it also appears to have had the account name changed?!

I just spoke to him. But either way, it is not posted so that's good.

I guess the scammer reposted a bunch of stuff and tried to collect some funds. Internet is wild!

Been wearing it everyday since I finished it! Still holding up very nicely. The movement is in dire need of a service though as it runs about +25 seconds a day.

Movement service should be pretty reasonable and easy through one of the watchmakers on here!

I think when they stopped the mass production and went ebay only, they lost that economy of scale... then COVID inflation, etc.

I think if you want 'the real deal'... they're still value but 99% of people won't care, of course so you can AliX up
