Hey guys, I’m deciding between which to get for my first bronzo - I’m considering either the Tudor Black Bay Bucherer, or the Panerai 382.

I think I like the Panerai better, but I have a 6.3-6.4 inch wrist, so I’m not sure if I could pull off a 47mm watch.

Do other guys with skinnier wrists have the PAM382?

I have the PAM382 and other 47mms. I have a 6.25" wrist.

Now i thnik i want a Bronzo !
One question, i understand the lemon/ketchup bath to remove patina from factory, but as i live near the sea, would you do a salt water bath after it ?

my wrist is smaller than yours and i have NOTHING BUT 47mm watches ! I say go for it...the 382.... if you dont like it when you have worn it a while.... you can always sell it. but! i wouldn't deprive myself of the pleasures of the 382. NOW that they have got the fatter crown right.... you should get one before they screw it up again. lol
with reps.... you never can tell whats coming.... good or bad.

I never gave mine a salt water bath after cleaning

What is the reason for doing this

I was thinking to remove the factory patina by lemon bath, and then accelerate my own patina at contact with sea salt water ? Perhaps i misunderstood something ?

Well bathing it in salt water will simulate swimming in sea water which will develop the patina faster compared to just wearing it in the normal outside environment but not what you would call accelerated. There are other methods but research on them before trying them out.

Guys i know you already heart this question, i read some answers at this topic. Sorry for repeat question
But there are different ideas; bathing, salty water, swimming etc. I can not be sure. So i want you ask you one more time.

I ordered a new bronze and it looks like these. Very shiny.

But i want it a patina of course like many of you. I want a darker looks like this;

What i have to do for quick patina. Again sorry for ordinary question.

Best regards.

Soak it in REALLY salty water (make sure the watch is waterproof first).

Or just wear it, and touch it with your fingers.... and in about two weeks it should have a nice looking patina.

There are a few threads about aging the bronzo if you search for patina bronzo 382 etc. The most common trick is the boiled eggs in a bag. You hard boil and egg (or 2) and leaving the shell on place it into a plastic bag .. the ones that seal.
Crush the egg , still hot, and place your watch in the bag and seal it. Check it now and then to see what's going on. The egg produces sulfur which reacts on the bronze causing it to darken . I tried something totally different after noticing that my watch developed a nice patina from a swimming pool. I dissolved some pool chlorine in water and let my watch bathe in it for a few hours. It turned a nice golden brown.
You must first be sure your watch is water-proof to soak it in anything .. I took a chance and soaked it before having it tested and was lucky. After having it tested I found out it was good to 4 atm's which is enough for casual swimming and of course soaking it in chlorine water. You can also add some salt to the water which will develop the blue-green patina we see sometimes on Bronzo's.
If you don't like the results you can always clean it with ketchup or lemon juice or a commercial paste cleaner like brasso etc.
Good luck and have fun !

Still a bit far away. There still needs to be invented a rep P.9000 movement. The current 671 'winner' is the VSF which has a decorated custom made a7750. So far it is getting great reviews as to its functionality/reliability.
