PS: autosol works great in removing some damaged AR coating in our circle we call it Prof Sol cause it gives a xtal a sparkle reminiscing (outrageously I'd say) of Prof's (@rnrprof ) legendary 2xAR

Sorry, I didn't quite get what you meant in the post.
You meant that using autosol could give a crystal the effect of 2xAR is it ?

but empirically a tiny amount of autosol on non coated xtals makes them quite shiny.
