Breitling Avenger Gmt GF vs Gen

For sure. Cannot wait.
For those of you who have one of these, has anyone opened it to take a look at the seals? Seems like a good watch to handle some light swimming.
I have the GF in both white/cream dial and black. I’ve researched it a lot and compared many times to gen photos. I also own a gen Breitling so I have a good point of reference. For a watch that costs 1/10th of the rrp for the gen, you get something that’s about 90% accurate. The flaws that I see are:
1. The date wheel is slightly too sunken beneath the dial, if you hold the watch at a shallow angle you can see a gap between dial and date wheel:
2. The dial alignment is 1 degree rotated counterclockwise, I will open up the watch and try to correct this myself. Also two of the dial markers are not perfectly aligned, see:
It’s worth pointing out these type of flaws to your TD and asking them to try to find you a unit without these flaws prior to receiving QC, it may save you some time. Also it’s sometimes hard to determine the dial/bezel alignment with the angle of QC shots.

I've noticed some of these points, #1 not an issue on the blacksteel as the date wheel is black. #2 I just rotate the bezel to the 2 o'clock and mine looks perfect.
These are also looking like the second batch which has a change in the date font which is different to gen.

Yeah that’s what I thought. Already sent them a similar pic and asked for one back as a reference. At the end of the day I can live with it, but if they are floating around might as well wait for one.

Is the Breitling canvas strap worth it, or are there decent alternatives? I just approved QC pics on a DLC and I love the look on canvas, not sure I want to spring for gen strap which will probably fray anyways. I bet the watch looks awesome on coyote brown canvas as well.
Got the QC pics! order is already in the UK. Probably will get it Wednesday or Thursday!

Was just having some fun there....just be careful not to overuse the chrono function on these....they are known to kill the watch if you're not careful...I've a couple of skylands also, grey like yours and blacksteel and I never use the chrono function for that reasons....

so what is the final verdict on the white and blue dial versions? Are they both genlike or is any of the two way off? Read a lot of mixed opinions...so just wondering.
