Is it just me or has anybody else noticed the differences in BPSD's? I recently bought a BPSD from P4G to give to my boss and while I was putting on a TC bracelet I noticed differences between the new one and the one I already had. Here are some pics. The top (rubber strap) is the one I already had.

P4G sold his SD after all that hard work... You got the one with the tissot movement?

Quick question... I think I remember hearing somewhere that the 16600 sea dweller and 14060 insert was the same size. Is this correct or am I just day dreaming? Lol

Here you go Ben. Not sure if you can make out the difference in the pic though. The printing on the new dial is very crisp and close to TC in my opinion. The metal ring around the markers are slightly fatter than TC's.

Old dial compared to new stock dial

New stock dial compared to TC dial

all three

thank you infinitely .. good job! yes, the print seems to be very detailed. Also the crown looks more subtle and detailed than the old. BP

yes, the genuine sd has rings around indices thicker than Bp old dial. see the pics below the different ring and the BP wrong print, not detailed, not crisp

now, this seems really improved!

dam the bp pearl dosent look like the gen pearl
but the rim around the markers are correct on bpdial as the gen has thick markers and thin markers.but the pearl is way off.i may have to get a gen insert.the gen has way more metal showing around the pearl

Wow Ben, I looked all over trying to find a close up shot of a gen dial. The rings are thick on the gen, very interesting! Great comparison bud!!!

marker thin or thick is not a problem, i seen more gen sd with thick but there are with thin also. the problem on bp dial is (or was) the print, flat and not detailed..in my pics this is noticeable.

Live, the ( eventual) wrong pearl and wron ring around is not a problem, i think.. fit an wm pearl and with 20$ it's ok

The BP Sd's are evolving at a fast rate, first few I have built have not been consistent, first ones, green tinge to lume in daylight, poor print quality, long click spring that sounded and felt awful, CG's varied considerably from one to another, bracelet not brilliant in terms of quality etc etc.

I have just done another one with gen insert ( because the client requested it) and I have to say the best out of the box I have seen !!

yes there are differences between thie BP and gen, but what a bargain for this level of rep !!!

And here it is...I must say i'm really happy with the outcome of this, I went gen insert because I got a deal on one, we swopped the markers over because the TC ones imho look better quality but it is still a BP dial. I would say there is a slight raising of the font on this SD dial, you can kinda tell in the pic, not sure if its a different batch or not but I think it looks superb. A very big thanks to Ado213 for making this SD simply a stunning piece!

Recipe..
BPSD Case and xstal, BP dial with TC markers swopped, Noob crown and tube, TC 93160A bracelet, Gen insert, TC DWO V3, TC Hands, Swiss 2836-2

FWIW, I know the BP insert is really good and the pearl looks cracking but I couldn't resist putting the gen insert on this badboy and boy am I glad I did, it really sets it off!
