ciao Luca!
for me tc and Bp dial are very similar, but they are not very close to gen. see the crown printing on gen pics.. in bp/tc this is twice thicker

Yeah benjii I'll get a photo for you when I pull the watch apart, I'm going to matte the dial and age it a bit just like a well sun worn diver after 10 years of solid daily use :)

I have a great build in the works with Katt so will have two figured I could experiment with my BP dial first and then do it to my TC dial and just have some fun doing light vintage work..

I did take a photo a while ago but I don't have a great camera I'll try and find it and repost it

As far as I am aware, a generic click or gen click will not fit in the retaining hole, you would have to drill the hole out to fit it?. Well that's on the five I have done, on saying that I have noticed differences in the case itself.

All the BP Sd's I have done, bar one have had the large extended click fitted as stock. Fifth case, I am not sure if the owner had changed prior to me getting it?

The BP dial is 27.5 o.d and the dial counterbore in the case is 27.7 o.d. So in theory the TC dial will not fit at 28mm o.d

Thanks for the answer.
I askes that because I'm planing a 16660 Build with drilled lug holes and a Yuki dial.
But the Yuki dial has a diameter of 27,2.
But I think it will work with case as well?

Regards, Max

has anyone compared the clarks hands to TC ones? i know the lume is not as bright on clarks, but what about in regular daylight?

in particular, id be interested to see BP dial/ clarks hands combo, vs TC dial/hands combo. I think the dial looks really really close between the BP and TC that if clarks hands look just as good on stock dial, it will really save members some good coin !

Clarks hands are not superluminova. They will not match the lume on the dial when charged.

Anyone have a spare TC tube? I have everything else I need for the build, ready to get cracking. I'm trying to buy one but sometimes its a slow process.

I think rsh may have some.

I just got my gen crown and WM9 tube from him and the WM9 tube didn't fit. I ruined the tube in the process, also. I'm really hoping WM9 and TC tubes are different threads, or i'm screwed.

Dang, that sucks! I thought the wm9 tube fit on the BP case with no retap necessary.

The TC tube has gen like pitch. The best bet you have is to have someone tap the case to ensure proper fit and water resistance or you may end up ruining a perfect case.

Lets clear something up. Are you guys using the name WM9 and TC interchangeably to identify the same tube/parts?

The TC tube can't have gen pitch, because you have to tap the case for a gen tube. The TC tube supposedly threads right in, the gen does not.

RSH was able to screw his WM9 tube directly in, I was not.

Where's :r2d4:

The Tc tube is m3x .25 pitch . The gen tube is m3x .35 pitch. The Tc tube us an easier install than gen for the modder because the gen tube had a chamfered seat that requires a recess to be milled in the BP case. The seat of the Tc is flat and only requires re tapping. I have both taps and interested parties can pm me for info about where I got them . Very $$$ and hard to find.

Maybe I have been lucky?:eyeroll: but I have been able to use the TC tube without retapping a gen case and vise Versa. The only thing I'm not crazy about the TC tube is the flat base against a gen case, but if using it on an SSD or alike build it actually works better.

Ok... Here is what I know today. I have a thread pitch gauge. I am in the fastener industry. I bought Startime, Clark, WO, Otto, Esslinger tubes that are generic. They are .3 pitch. The BP cases/tubes that I have done are .5 pitch.

To confuse you more, I used .35 pitch tap into my BP case and that also worked.

WM9? Can you even buy from him anymore? I use TC. ;)

Summary. Gen should be .3. BP case and tube (the ones I worked on) were .5.

Your mileage may vary. If you start your tube into the case and get resistance, something is fecked up. ;)

Best thing to do IMHO, is evaluate what you have, then proceed accordingly.
