I have done two of these and they did not need a dial/case shave. The TC dial fit right in. Others have posted the same experience. So keep that in mind before replying otherwise.

The tap from star time supply and that eBay seller in China, matched the genuine/generic tube threads.

The LEC crystal, I could care less. The watch isn't very common when compared to a sub and unless the bracelet is off, no one will know the serial. Further more, generic crystals are so prolific in the gen repair business that it's more than reasonable to assume you had it replaced as such.

Well the lack there of, is more of a blessing than it is a curse. IMHO.

I can't see the gen with my eyes at a glance in the real world.

The rep lec's on 16610's were said to be a obvious. The newer ceramic reps are better.

Like I said, it wouldn't be a big stretch to see a gen owner go with a generic crystal. If I didn't want to send mine to the service center, I would go with it on a tool watch.

I guess you've never tried to find it ..

if gen LEC it is so invisible, then new sub -C has lec wrong also .. it's visible in the picture, although minimally

I seem to remember that someone tried to fit the gen Crystal in a BPSD and it wasn't set up to fit the gen. Likewise, the Clark would not fit either. To be honest, if you proved me wrong, I wouldn't be too offended.

Sorry for confusion... My 16610 TC LV has a gen crystal. And I was referring to how covert it is and how gen crystals LEC are almost invisible...

My BP SD, on the other hand, has rep crystal. I won't be changing my 16610 crystal EVER. Just want to change my 16600 because I have a lot of great parts and mods (gen insert, gen crown, perfectly modded cg, tc dial, tc hands, tc bracelet, and correct blank rehaut) on it but it has that overtly obvious LEC...

And that's why I was asking. I even have a source on gen crystal but looks like that is out unless I'm willing to go for some crazy modding... I suppose I could source a rep crystal???

i don't know if clark crystal fit on SSD ( i suppose you has SSD).. I read of some who have put rep cristal in new BP easily.. Q5? surely knows the answer
