Once my franken is built, I’ll have a TC dial, TC hands, & TC date wheel for sale. Also a brand new gen bezel insert. But, it will probably be a while before Adrian can get my franken built. I’ll let this thread know first before the sale happens.

I miss my bpsd, I’m highly thinking about dumping my noob v7 and picking up another one with a eta movement this time and then getting a gen insert for it and calling it a day!

Just got mine. Very impressed. The band needed an oil bath. Some of the clasp edges needed smoothing and the screws were near impossible to remove from links.
The click spring needed adjustment and the insert does not pop in but is glued. So I re-glued with marine glue and it feels pretty solid.
One bonus is the cheap A2813 movement is really quiet so far and sweeps very smooth. Best rep for the price Ive come across. I’m going to use as a daily beater and expect it to last awhile and can easily replace anything that goes wrong.

It's not sharp it has a nice edge, Ask Adrian @ado213 in a PM he is very particular about Crystals, @Maron might also remember some crystal makers and associated observations. My Wife is still asleep in our bedroom so I don't want to go in there and get it. If I don't get side tracked I will try and take some better photos today.

If it's close ups of gen Crystal you want I have some on my phone still.
People may think that because there is no cyclops it's not worth getting but it was a big difference from my stock BP.
My BP had a cloudy chamfer and sat too high.
The chamfer on the Gen reflects light really nicely.

I can tell from your pics that the gen crystal has a nice smooth rounded edge unlike my bp's edge which is sharp. It's not cloudy though, actually it's pretty clear and shiny but the angle is diffrent and as you and others said taller.
I'd appreciate some more pics if you have.
I've ordered a 2824 bpsd hoping the cgs will be correct so i'm gonna try to install a gen crystal myself. If i fail i'll contact Adrian for sure.

Yea it's like three layer argon gas filled low E and Phaser proof. I have been up there all morning putting on this rubber stuff than cloth then more rubber goop....Plus I need a longer drill bit to run the wire.
I tired. So Cal sun is working its magic.
