I used this method first before getting a WSO spring. The rep spring kept deforming back to its original state, and after replacing haven't had any more loose bezel issues.

Exactly what I will have to do. My trial and error process is about to end with no success I am afraid. :D

That's not fear. That's excitement. Just take your time, and if you get frustrated - walk away for a few minutes. Works for me anyway. Good luck.

I spent at least 1 hour trying to find the perfect "shape" and now it's much worse than at the beginning. :bang:

Guys, have you ever seen a BPSD with polished HV?

I am working on the click spring and I already hate it. Need to order a Clark click spring....

The older models like 16660 had a polished HEV valve, I have seen it though its been a while

I’ve heard of gens getting polished over time from rubbing on sleeve cuffs for years.

So here it is after much anticipated waiting I am excited to share my BPSD. This watch was sent to @ado213 for a fresh swap of a gen eta 2836-2 and relume of the existing dial.

After the watch was sent to Adrian he was kind enough to offer up his hand set he purchased GMBH/Boley to me and surprised me by also offering TC SD Dial! that we all know how hard they are to come by! Wow you can imagine my excitement. Then came another surprise the eta 2836-2 from Sead was confirmed gen therefore new movement wasn’t needed. Adrian softened the case and worked the crown guard. Did I mention that he relumed the dial and hands?? Yes done all by Adrian and looks great! Adrian is honestly the most honest and professional individual I’ve ever had the pleasure to work with and I feel like I’ve gained a friend. The watch looks incredible and I couldn’t be happier. He also worked on the click spring and waterproofed to 6 atm. Adrian thank you buddy!!

Excellent work as usual.

If the BPSD grows on me enough, I will send mine to Adrian too.

Guys anyone has a spare BPSD crown here in EU?
Happy to buy it from him. I already started a WTB thread but here I guess I have better chances.

I feel ashamed to say but I received a BPSD with: missing insert, broken crown, faulty movement, case full of dings and scratches, polished HV, scratched crystal, slightly scratched dial (never mind, the crystal is so reflective I cannot even notice that). I am serious, no joke. :D
The case is in such bad condition that I am fairly sure the original owner was after a vintage look.

No flaws (save the faulty movement) was disclosed but it was cheap, I cannot deny that.

I am an extremist when it comes to AR coating, all my watches have 2 side AR but I am not sure I like the BPSD with 2x AR.
It looks...too different.

Have any of you guys had the chance to see a gen SD in person ? I'm wondering if the gen crystal is worth the trouble. What concerns me the most is the sharp edge of the BPSD crystal and the height of course.

I'd appreciate any input on this!
