That's a fair question, which needs a detailed answer. In short, I have never fitted a gen bezel and insert to an SD with a stock crystal. It might just be doable, but I'm not sure about that at all as you have to remove some of the case where the crystal and gasket fit, it will be very close indeed.

The crystal mod can be gen or generic, no difference in size.

The gen tension ring will not fit a BP SD, it's too small.

If you are attempting this,be warned its very very easy to mess it uP. There are three areas of the case you have to work, all must be done correctly or you will scrap either the bezel or the case. I've done a few of these and they still take me above a day to do and I have the machines to do it

By hand I wouldn't even attempt it.

Hope this helps

Thanks for this mate i know this is a good question, and it's rare to find someone really competent to answer like you :)

Unfortunally seems that the job is not really simple and cheap, This is a pity beacuse i had found an unrepeatable offer on bezel ring :(

Do you remember what grade of sandpaper you used to rebrush this at all please?

No sandpaper, it's a green Brillo pad that you find at the grocery store. Start with no baby oil to begin with and after you start getting the look you want add a drop or two as you continue to brush. The key is brushing in only one direction. It you rub back and forth and back and forth it won't look cemetery. You will get ruff lines.

It looks great... Did you use just the green? I've read where other members have said the grey 3m is more "gen like" but it's probably such a small difference no one would ever know.
I have practiced with both the green and grey pads on some bracelets that I have laying around and I don't really see much difference.

No sir but I do think the baby oil helps. Because if you press hard without it you can create grooves.

A friend of mine owns a jewelry shop and uses this dark brown cloth mesh. He just rubs the bracelet back and forth. Doesn't even use a ruler or box to stay straight. His watches look absolutely amazing when he is finished.

Let me see if I can find out what it's called and where he gets it.

Finally got mine back from being built. Fresh ETA 2824, TC dial, crown/tube, and bracelet. WSO hands that are too white and don't match the lume plots hahahaha BUT I think I can live with it

Looks great aloha... but I thought you were gonna sell that one to me? ;)
LOL this is part of my 3 watch collection haha. The stock ones are such a great deal though. It was actually the first watch besides my TC that I was impressed by. Just find a TC bracelet, and you'll be good!

Are the BP bracelets that bad? I still have that glidelock clasp I bought from you I was thinking of throwing it on the SD when It shows up.

I think the clasp is the biggest issue, but if you're swapping the glidelock, then you'll be good. If you haven't ordered it yet, I would check for the SEL fitment. Other than that, I hear the BP bracelet is pretty good as is. I've only had mine on a TC bracelet.

I ordered mine from Saed, I asked him to double check the SEL's so we shall see. Fingers crossed.

Why didn't you go for star time hands? That mismatch would drive me nuts!

Ah ok, and what could i do if the bezel doesnt look nice?
Maybe a TC bezel? Does it fit without any mods?

Tc doesn't make a 16600 bezel, nor does he produce or sell parts anymore. Your choices are to stick with the bp bezel or $500 for a gen bezel plus the modification expense.
