Perlon is it's own material and completely different than the nylon straps weaved to look like a a perlon strap like the ones you are referring to. two different materials one is perlon the other is nylon woven to look like a strap made of perlon.

Been reading this thread and seems like there isn't a consensus on the best of these. I really like the 5 digit sea dweller but I don't plan on doing any modding (other than movement service maybe)...

I think the consensus is and always has been the A2836 which is really now an A2824. Don't waste your money on an unserviceable movement, I just got one from Sead and its still bone stock and pretty damn nice for under $250

NO MODS 7/2017 current stock.

Modded and then sent back to England for more mods 2016 TC everything

Bracelet looks nicer imho that the old version of BP SD and SEL fits good on most if them, but "incomplete" on a few... So pay attention on you QC guys

Unfortuanally still have the problem with the clasp...

Other question, do you think it's worth to upgrade the crystal? I wonder if there are better aftermarket options available or how much a gen one costs?

About crystal in the past it worth beacuse the old crystal had matt white profile. Was a pretty bad look. But then it was updated and actual seems to have a better crystal profile, so actually i personally keep the stock crystal


It's my favourite watch actually, and i miss that TC parts aren't available anymore, i was lucky to bought them from him in the last october

Hey @ado213 , may I ask what the bezel shrinking mod is? Thanks!

Its not really a mod as such, the fit of the bezel seems to vary on the BP SD, from a good fit to very loose. I can reduce the bezel size enough to get it a better fit.
