Does one of these bezels look gen? Both inserts are but one assembly supposedly is.

I really struggled with close ups with my phone, it may better zooming on the above...

The backside gives one away straight away

@ado213 @occb2 Rob and Adrian can you look at these sea dweller bezels. I note the teeth are different and one insert has been sanded and glued.

One on the left is gen mate, the scallops are more close together, same gen bezel I had on my last Franken SD, if you can grab it for decent price I would, don't see many for sale mate.

Was hoping someone would say that. It was a good price and I have bought it.

I have asked Adrian if he can fit it as I've read the watch needs modifying.

However, I've had it a week and it's just been sitting there and as always curiosity got the better of me, so I popped my old one off and...

Yes I could had told you that the gen bezel ring will fit. Just can't use the gen retaining ring with it. Adrian can mod the case to take the gen retainer and gen crystal which is a pretty instinctive mod
But worth it because gen crystal miles apart from the rep crystal
So basically he's modifying the case and Rehaut to take the whole gen spec bezel assembly instead of just the bezel ring, also making the Rehaut to accept the gen spec crystal which is milling a extra ring making a two piece Rehaut

Aha! that makes more sense then and is why Adrian explained he would need to fit a gen or gen spec xtal.
I started to question if the bezel was gen even though it makes the watch look a millions times better

Its definitely gen my friend. I must had looked at a million of them during the time i was doing my last build.
I got lucky and run across a EBay sell that wasn't titled right and had the whole assembly plus insert for $300 bucks buy now option . Knowing what it was I scooped it up without question, lol

I was wondering the same since couple of days..

daytona crystal, tc hands on 3135, surely it's peculiar.

also sel looks a bit too recessed in some pictures
