Yes , So lets say a little prayer that Adrian doesnt end up in the Asylum because of this
You plan on selling your SubC Franken or is there room for both in your collection?
I was thinking of getting a Yuki/Gen dial and hands for mine so let me know how it goes...... poor Adrian.

Gen Hands on TRF right now, Expensive but brand new in package, Of course check with Mike first.
Where in USA are you going for HM? @M_Hall
You guys got me sold for the BP SD!! Now for movement choice, i'm really leaning on the high beat 21j (100usd cheaper) over the 2836. My experience with the 21js are pretty good so far and i plan on keeping it stock other than future external upgrades like bracelet and bezel insert. My question is, aesthetically both should look the same albeit different movements yes?
I think my caseback is the way you describe but I bought mine from sead more than a year agoFrom my understanding, the idea was to go with the high beat 21J so long as the ultimate intention was to swap in a true ETA or SH/Yuki, as it would get you into the platform at a lower cost. Accordingly, if you were to go with the A2836 option (which is actually an A2824) you would have a movement to serve as a good basis if you were to leave it stock. Aesthetically, it should be the same watch.
What were your plans for a bracelet upgrade? TC was long a supplier for many of the mods to the BP SD (hands, dial, DWO, and bracelet/clasp), which is what made the watch such a great choice. Now with him on a hiatus of unknown duration, the options become significantly limited. For insert, Gen is the way to go.
Which takes me to my next point - with TC 16600 parts (hands, dwo, bracelet, dial) no longer available, where is the next best option for each? I've followed the for sale sections almost daily, and since the board returned from Exile, it's been extremely slim pickings. Modders have a few pieces, but they're generally (and rightfully) reserved for customers.
As to my personal experience, I've managed to acquire two BP SDs since April. The first came from a non-trusted dealer, with an "A2836", which was DOA, and the second, sourced from another member, fortunately already had a TC bracelet attached, as its sole mod. The second was originally sourced from Sead @ Super Mirrors, which also has an "A2836". I'd say Sead is still the way to go for acquisition as it seems everyone has had nothing but good experiences.
You'll also want to check the QC photos for the caseback. Another member noticed that the subsequent series of case back engravings are no longer correct. The words "Original GAS ESCAPE VALVE" were originally lower justified, and appear to be more centered on recent productions, so be cognizant of that for QC photos.
Good luck, and happy reading. Lord knows there's plenty to be read.
