What are the current dial options? I know TC has one that seems to get ok reviews. Wasn't there an octopus dial that was available that was pretty cool? I wish TC made kh dials for the SD.

The TC SD dial is pretty damn good.
The dial print is crisp even under a loupe and the coronet is spot on.

The lume matches gen in colour/strength and longevity and it's application is neat although I guess as it's hand applied it may vary from piece to piece.

A KH SD Dial would be nice but I can't see it happening.

It's also a viable option to leave the dial stock as the BP dial is very good too.

Thank you Lars great comparison, gives anyone considering a build great info on the difference the Gen/TC parts make.

One thing the pictures can't show is the unbelievable build quality of Adrian's work, as you said they wear and feel like the genuine piece.

Thanks again.

Looks like a genuine 16710 uses the same long click spring, very weird?

https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=521447

Sorry about that, but the person that built this particular watch should be fired.

Is the BPSD Click Spring supposed to be one meter long? [emoji23]

I shortened the clickspring and surprise surprise, now the bezel is not loose and it does click now!

I'll fix this watch up, add an ETA, GEN Crown, Tube and Insert [emoji4]

Then it will rock!

The reason for the post was only to point out the long click spring is normal at least in some manner within the Rolex line, if you like I will delete it. Small world

Not quite. The gmt has a different tip which allows bi-directional travel whereas the Sd is tipped like a Sub to click one way only.
By the way you have linked to my sales post on TRF!!

Wtf did i just do?

I wanted to do the BPSD Franken Project at a later time because I am moving to another house and just bought a new Kitchen yesterday.

I dont know why, but I just bought a TC 93160A, TC Dial, TC Hands and a GEN 16600 Insert (Brand new in blister).

Dont tell my wife lol[emoji23]

And I added a GEN 704 Crown to the Noob Tube. A GEN 7030 Tube didnt fit directly, I guess I need to re tap the case [emoji19]

Congratulations iPwnage welcome to the asylum.

Are you sure you don't fancy a new Crystal or DWO?

You won't regret it, I'm bias as it's the only Franken I now own but it's such a beautiful watch.

No it's not a problem. I think the extra length improves the tension. The click always feels better and stronger on the Sd as opposed to a Sub.

I am not sure about the Crystal right now. DWOs are already ordered from TC in December 2016, hopefully they will arrive next week.

I would like to "touch" a BPSD with another crystal to see if the difference is enough for me to have adrian change mine [emoji846]
