They are supposed to come with 2836 but at some point they started using 2824 with a spacer and long tube hands. You won't know what you are getting until you get it

Damn, just ordered a serviced ETA2824 thinking my watch has an A2824 in there. So, without a spacer it's an A2836? They look extremely similar to me.

The case side @ 9 o'clock is terrible. Pitted all over...or is my eyesight worse than I think?

SEAD was selling the BPSD with the a2836 since March 2016...

Buddy, I'm here for many years now and i have taken countless SD BP in the past.

They are all the same, who sells them sead, toro, intime, puretime etc etc.

They always had the 2824.

In the past all replicas with eta clone reported in the description "2836 clone", although in reality it was a 2824 in many watches.

Only in recent years dealers have begun to properly write the correct movements that are inside the watches in the description, but not always the dealer write properly.

True, and imo the A2824 is a better mov't. and date flips at midnight as gen.

I'm not sure why they'd put a 2836 day/date movement in an SD but I guess in the Rep world anything is possible.

Having said that Arian put an ETA 2836 in mine as he said it's better than the 2824. I didn't even question and it runs flawlessly.

Also my modder said that the 2836 is better than 2824, but I decided to keep on mine the 2824 clone :) I've asked to my modder to do the service and replace some critical/fregile clone parts with genuine eta parts.

I don't charge the watch manually from thursday, since i have received it and i have worn it only Saturday and Sunday and is still working :)

PS: The 2836 has a different date trigger mechanism. The 2836, unlike in 2824, changes the time exactly at midnight. The 2824 begins to change just before midnight

The bpsd suits better the 2836. When the factory uses a 2824 they need to use a spacer between the movenent and dial and it's harder to align the dwo. Also they use hands with long tubes to reach the movement.

So tc hands will not fit without mod onto the bp eta and bp hands will not fit on the gen eta.

Best movenent in this watch is 2836 paired with tc hands.

This is how adrian does it and I'm sure we can all agree he knows exactly what he's doing.

That's not azure like in the picture, it's superluminova green lume lol

However here a lume shot of mine with, TC V3 hands set, and bezel gen (luminova perarl) , all match perfectly :)

Does the gen bezel assembly plug and play on bpsd mate? Or need to mod it?

its definitely not a "plug and play" swap, there are some very detailed mods to do to the case to get this to fit. The gen SD bezel is made of far tougher material than the BP. It is not machined to the same profile as the BP. It sits lower on the case, which in turn makes your gen insert rub on the case and not turn correctly.

I have seen a gen bezel forced on, don't even try, you'll warp the bezel.

A gen insert will fit the BP bezel after trimming and not rub on the case.

hope this helps

Yep also my modder has told me this. He told me that he worked the bezel to accept the genuine insert. The insert is perfectly lower, within the profile of the bezel. He also modified the click of the bezel and is now like gen.
