thanks mate.

problem is BP factory no longer makes 2836. It's either a modifiable 2824 but an elevated DWO, or a bullet proof 9015 movement . hmmm decisions decisions....

Go 2824, thats what mine was originally and it looked great here is a picture from about 11 months ago. When it was bone stock from Sead.

And then just go on the Rolex Forum to Rolex parts and buy a genuine insert + Crown + WSO tube. This watch is great for modding TC parts take it up a notch, just read back about 20 or 30 pages you will see links and names, genuine crown +1, TC Dial and Hand set +1, 2836 movement from startime with H4 pinions, Heck Adrian will even cut the case to take genuine or genuine spec crystal.

Let me add something here. Depending on how much you want to mod it you might think about getting the cheap movement if you are going to replace it with a 2836 anyway. You are right most are getting there bpsd a2836 with a a2824 with a dial spacer and dwo spacer, if you are planning to mod and want your dwo centered you'll want to switch to a 2836 anyway.

Just a thought

That makes sense but you have to do movement, Dial, DWO and Hands at the same time. Really probably best to just buy all the parts at one time or over time and then once you have them save up a little more and send it to Adrian.

Thrasher for sure.
Copadelrey the reason I bought mine with a2836 is because I wasn't sure if I would mod it or not. If I'm not going to mod it the 2836 will be better in the long run. If you plan to change the dial, hands, dwo you'll be better off switching the movement to a swiss 2836 or a clone 2836 in the process.

If you order the bpsd a2836 there's a good chance it'll have a a2824 which is not ideal for this build

Ok actually I have a question for you guys about the movement in mine without opening it up. So if I'm changing the date by rotating the crown past midnight and the dare starts to move at 11 pm and then snaps over at 11:50 pm that means this is an a2824 correct?

In this case since I was planning to do a build with 2836 this movement needs to be replaced anyways.
Raddave is that correct regarding the date change behavior of a 2824?

That is not characteristic of 2826s or 2824s, but i have heard of some 2824s that act that way, the POS Z2 acts that way too.

Good afternoon guys, I've been following as best as I can. You all talk over my head a bit at times. When I get the refund from that POS submariner I bought I'm going to buy the BPSD. Should I still buy the one that you sent me the link to Raddave?

Who did you buy it from, I dont think Sead would screw up unless factory misrepresented it to him, Anyway your going to switch to TC dial and hands so then you have to go 2836...
