BP Seadweller.. Best SD available Period

Any of you guys with multiple BPSD can do a picture crown in showing the crystal edge of:
1.old stock BPSD
2.new stock BPSD
3. Jandk (or whomever that is)
4.wso

Do you have to mod the watch case for this Crystal to work or if what I'm reading is correct, the reason to buy the BPSD is because you can do some modest mods to it.
I was thinking of just buying one and leaving it be. I would like to put a genuine ETA into it. I believe Raddave has one in his.

you have to have the case modified to fit the gen spec crystal. Adrian in UK does it. I would just get one and where it as is. You may decide to change something or maybe not. Or wear it until the movement craps out or the crown craps out and then decide(if/when)

Yeah ..... Raddave sent me a link for one from Puretime for $268 bucks. It looks fine and will be a fine daily beater. It's not even worth putting a genuine ETA into it at that price.
What I have started doing though is buying a few watchmakers tools so that I can start tinkering. I'm going to go on eBay and buy several different cheap autos that I can try to disassemble and put back together. ( I'd like to learn to be able to do a movement swap myself one day )
Horology really interests me, always has. I figure that if others have learned to do mods and fixes then I should be able to learn myself.
It will be a good compliment to my watch collecting.

No dates are easier because You don´t need to tinker with the datewheel overlays.
Best is to get some spare stems for changing over the crown.
It opens a world of possibilities because You´ll be able to swap dials and/or hands too.
Set of screwdrivers, handsetting- and removal tool, air-duster can, toothpics and Rodico and You´re almost good to go

Guys... Need advice on the movement for a my BP 16600 build. As you know BP has 3 movement choices for us

Get 21J - If I intend to put a yuki 3135 or Swiss 2836 someday
Get 2824 - if I intend to put a TC elabore 2824
Get miyota 9015 - if I intend to use stock movement

Please correct me if I'm wrong? Thanks a bunch!

i didn't even know it comes with a myiota. I wouldn't brave it because all the mods people have done have been tested on an eta 2836. Would a tc dial and hands fit a myiota?

i didn't even know it comes with a myiota. I wouldn't brave it because all the mods people have done have been tested on an eta 2836. Would a tc dial and hands fit a myiota?

Nope TC parts wont fit Miyota or 21j 2813 which is not even eta clone

Mine is still with Adrian. Haven't gotten an update but maybe soon! He is doing xtal mod and fitting the gen bezel set.

Can't wait to see how it turn out.

problem is BP factory no longer makes 2836. It's either a modifiable 2824 but an elevated DWO, or a bullet proof 9015 movement . hmmm decisions decisions....
