@Daywatch this is one of the best oob reps around. I had been wearing all my reps stock oob and wanted to experience the modded phenomenon. Wore my BPSD oob for 2 yrs before mod work. Loved it before and love it more with mods......

The looks are great with the red YM-hand - and it´s quite unique in the Seadweller look. Every modded BP is no doubt better - but it will also cost.
Just want to point out options and alternative routes to new readers of the thread and imho You´ll need the money when going for the 1st vintage build.
When faced with the decision of getting a TC-bracelet/TC hands/TC-dial/gen insert/gen crystal etc. I just took the shortcut and invested the modding money directly in a TC Rouge with KH-dial that comes from factory with the high H4 cannon pin, looking back I´m happy with the decision

@bgreg - I love that red hand! It kicks much ass. I've purchased two watches now off of this forum. My second to arrive today, which is a regular SD rep, the seller wasn't sure of the exact build, I think it's another Noob.
I've currently been wearing a Noob V2 DeepSea and it's kicking much ass. Albeit heavy as hell.
I was trying to post my pleasure with the watch but couldn't figure out how to start a thread so I just had to post here. I'm hoping that my SD will be just as nice.
I read about everyone modding their watches ..... How does someone new like myself learn what you can do and cannot and should or should not.
I guess my question is:
When do you leave well enough alone?

Hi, You´re giving it a thought and it´s a good way for a cautious start. When all ends well, it´s fine but the route may be unexpectedly bumpy: broken stems or messed up keyless when changing to a better crown; cracked crystal or dirt on the dial; scratched dial, parts that do not fit etc. etc. You can try to minimize errors by researching a lot, the rest is just learning by doing and learning by error, no way around it.
Options:
Buy an already modded watch on m2m
Learn to do it Yourself (starting with cheap/easy projects), in the long run it´s what really opens up all possibilities
Send it of to a modder to have the work done. Downside is the cost and some weeks or months waiting time. What I´d recommend here is to first research well the model/watch and the mods to be done to it, have all changes done at once, otherwise it gets unbearably expensive. The difficult part is to be selective about which watch is going to be modded (a Seadweller? a 5512? a 6538? a 1675 GMT or a ceramic sub? a datejust 1 with gen bezel, that makes for a very realistic rep?) In an ideal world You could do it to all
If You look at it with time and ease it´s a lot of fun and very rewarding.

The "2836" looks kinda damaged on one or two of the numbers. The "ETA" stamp looks very clear to me.
The balance jewel comparisons have never made sense to me.

Thats a gen swiss ETA.
Its not unusual for the stamps to be messed up as the stampers wear out and sometimes the plates are restamped at the factory....IE a 2824 and 2836 and 2834 mainplate are identical , ive seen 2836-1 plates restamped as 2836-2 plates too

But i just noticed one thing, the autowind module is off an old 17 jewel ETA, so its probably a GEN ETA mix match of parts there

I say amen to that ...... In my incredibly short time here Dave has taken an interest in me and that's often hard to find on today's forums ... IE: someone who will help the new members. No ones going to know everything they need to know and sometimes just the extra feeling of reassurance that someone has your back, even in an online poker match of watches ( I like to call it )

Sorry, fell asleep. I have a feeling the rotor was an attempt to fix a noise problem. Like Raddave said, It has some new parts for sure. [MENTION=96825]MaronAckay[/MENTION]-I don't recognize the symbol. It may be an "AP" logo. I have looked at it with the loupe and still cannot tell. I will try to get a better pic tonight.
One thing I will say, it is the smoothest winding 2824-2836 I have had. By the crown. Vac did a good job there.

according to my parts list thats a wso crystal but we may have a change soon.

We were going to put in a rnrprof 2x ar crystal but it scratched all to hell, then Adrian tested it with a hardness tester and it failed miserably, so its back to the WSO.

I really have to give Adrian the best recommendation I have ever given anyone, He has worked so hard to make every detail of this watch both beautiful and efficiently functional.

[MENTION=119958]rmurphy37[/MENTION] take your time do a lot of reading it all comes down to how gen you want it to look....the BP SD hands don't match the dial in lume so if that bothers you TC hands and dial are a perfect match. Bracelet is kinda crappie so TC has a good one with better sell fit.....a gen crown is way better then BP so it all depends on what bothers you about the watch. But the BP overall is one of the best you can get out of box. Most people will not be able to tell the difference. Just enjoy as is until you are ready to upgrade or something breaks.
