That is a terrific shot! I had trouble seeing which was which. Those dials are sooooo close as is the insert. Even the bezel teeth look equally as deep. I too am thinking about a xtal swap, but damn if that isn't a major example of the point-of-dimidhing-returns.
My rule of thumb is that if I can't see the difference with the naked eye, I've hit that point. Granted, my eyes aint what they used to be.

Thx bro. They are really close. SD a little smaller but with the watch I am building being over 20 years old it looks perfect to me! Just picked up a gen bracelet today. I couldn't resist .. Now only 2 rep parts are case and yuki mvmt. Man I hope this one turns out as good as it looks in my head. Lol

Hey guys. There is a bpsd for sale on m2m that has a tc 2824 movement. I know most of you guys use a 2836 but I forget why. Is there any reason I should not want a 2824?

If you are planning on using TC hands, you will need the 2836, or you will need to change all the pinions on the 2824 to H-4.

As it stands, the 2824 has the H-2 setup and the factory BP 2824 uses hands with extra long tubes to make up that difference.............

I was planning to order a $178 bpsd with the 2813 this week and upgrade it to an eta 2836 but I thought this might be a shortcut. I want to do it right though

I got a TC 2824 in mine with the h4 that comes with them....no problem for dial or hands. @Maron you haven't got a BP yet...lol

I did just order all new cartel 5513 FT first, 5513 3,6,9. 1665 DRSD and a 5517 military all from Sead and all with 2813. $119 each and free shipping because Sead is COOL! Will see what I keep and what I mod.

I really dont know if he is taking on new stuff his really job has been taking up a lot of his time, You would have to ask him yourself.
