You're right. I may just end up buying it all.. Just thinking of other alternatives if my dates are all centered on my BP dial. Also, to mainly avoid trimming the TC dial or case if it doesn't fit properly.

It fits. I can confirm that. However, i have both gen 16600 and a BP with TC dial. I think, that the edges on the indices on the TC are too slim. I would suggest to just keep the BP dial. I am considering switching back to the BP dial. In the meanwhile i am too busy enjoying my 116600 ;-)

No. The crown is another issue. I also have a TC crown ready but haven't compared that to the gen. But the BP crown is not very good.

I would use a genuine 703 or 704. TC crowns are no good in fact in function almost any crown is better than a TC crown. Ask anyone on the forum that has been around awhile.

You're going to have to use a gen or Clark's tube for the gen crown. Correct me if I'm wrong Thrasher.

Sorry but I have 703 crowns and wso tube s on both my TC V6 LN and TC LV. I have sitting on my desk a new genuine 704 crown and wso tube for when my TC Yacht Master arrives latter this week or early next week. Tagfan1 is currently installing a genuine 703 on a wso tube on my BP Sea Dweller which has been a bit delayed due to vacations and problems in England machining the case to accept a genuine spec crystal.

Anyone know where I can get the tap to accept the crown and tube upgrade? Specifically in the USA and not from China on eBay.

Your killing me, I hope mine looks so nice, Adrian made a mistake and mixed up my case and Tagfan1 s case, so he had to redo them, then customs opened the box and banged both our cases up and bent Tagfans movement. Then Tagfan and I both went on Vacation. Plus it took me time to get all the parts... This is a long build for sure.

I'm in the process of completely re doing mine right now also! Flat four, lug hole case, and the works from RBJ. Pretty excited to get this one back!

My build took quite awhile as well. There was a delay because I somehow lost the genuine crown that I had acquired on eBay and did not realize it was not sent to Katt with the rest of the parts. I work a rotating schedule that has me away from home half the time, so I was not able to look for it for a couple of weeks. Then I ended up ordering a new bezel from WSO because the genuine insert was not going to fit without mods. The WSO bezel did not fit the watch without binding, so that was sent back and Katt did some light sanding to get the insert to fit the original bezel. The last real delay came when Katt sent some progress pics and I realized that TC had accidentally sent me one of his Submariner dials when I ordered the Sea Dweller dial and hands set. It had been awhile since I received it, so the best TC would do was sell me another Dial at a discount. In the end the TC bracelet I ordered would not fit without mods, so we kept the original on.

The project ended up taking much longer and costing much more than expected. If I would have done a spreadsheet with cost breakdown before starting instead of after finishing, I'm not sure if I would have started the project. But in the end I am very happy with the finished product. I still have not worn it yet though.
