This is just my 2 cents but... anything from China stamped with 2846 is probably a combo of parts with a high beat wheel and escapement. They are just using 2846 plates or mis stamped them.?

Nope it was a NOS Tissot 2846. I dont want to say who I got it from but they assured me it was hi beat and a very good swiss movement

Well I sent a PM to Tag and Vac to verify I'm not losing my mind. Or maybe I got the movement number wrong but dont think so, i know its not the 2836 or 2824

Could you possibly be thinking of a 2834, which is a 13L 28.8K movement and easily converted to 11.5L (2836 size) by removing the outer ring?...http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&&2uswk&ETA_2834_2

Heres the data on the 2846.......http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&&2uswk&ETA_2846

I'm sorry for the lack of information on that movement. I'm not 100% sure what it is. I will attach a thread that may clear it up.

The movement in question in that thread is in fact the Z2, or POS clone of a clone.
And yes, it will swap straight over with the Sellita 220 (or ETA 2836).
If using the stock hands, the hour hand will (might) need to be slightly resized to fit.

I dont think it was the 2834 as the day date was not set up that way. It was a Tissot NOS never used.

One more thing regarding this "Z2" clone. Can anyone confirm if the date wheel overlay will swap to the Sellitta 220?

The weird date wheel with holes to lighten rotating mass!

Yeah they are pretty cool actually, they have a neat system going on there.
If you look at the "24" area on the dwo, youll see a tiny tab, which is bent down.
The factory datewheel, with the ETA datewindow location, sits below and has a notch in it to recieve this tab.
The center if this DWO sits on the original DAYwheel post and is secured with a tiny c-clip, so its easily removed, and when replaced, because of the tab, PERFECT alignment every time. no glue neccessary for this setup.

Why cant everything be so easy.

I know !

Ive seen these setups on the Z2s and 2813/4813s.

Id love to see it on the regular 2836/2824 clones too.

Thank you guys for all the help with verifying my "z2" movement. I have a DWO from TC on the way along with a brand new Sellitta in transit. Then it's off to Katt. I'll post some pictures of the old and new movements when I get it all in.

Are TC Sub indices interchangeable onto the BP dial? My dates are all centered and don't want to deal with shaving the dial or case of I need to.

Ideally I could put TC Sub indices onto the BP dial.
