Messy congrats for the beauty... The gen insert was snapted right on, or sanding was required?

Just installed in a tc braceler. Totally agree... The most needed mod in this model. The standard bp bracelet sucks... Tc bracelet is top quality... A gen like bracelet. Needed though a little sanding... Perfect fit and stiff lug fitment. It was a little difficult for me to put the sel's into the lugs with the springbars... Too stiff. But the outcome is absolutely fantastic... I removed 3 links and put the pin on the clasp one hole sorter. Damn, what a small wrist i have!!!! Now i am trying to put the gen insert. Pain in the butt. Probably needs a little sanding too. I cannot snap it on. I followed a youtube video. The part from 30 and 40 min does not snaps. I will take my time, and go slowly so i wont oversand it. Pitty i am not one of the lucky ones who had just snapped on the gen insert...

Sorry, did not get you my friend... What do you mean? I did push the outer edge till my fingers have rawed... Nothing... The insert just refuses to snap

When installing the insert, work your way around the outside edge pushing towards the center of the dial don't push on the middle of the insert or inside edge that just makes the insert flatten out and larger.

Still cannot snap it in. I do as you say but it always pops out from one side.

Are You pushing it (the edge) against a wooden table or similar? Just press hard until it snaps in.

No i did not. Tell me one more thing. Do i install the insert with the bezel on the watch or i install the insert on the bezel first and then on the watch?

Finally got it. Unfortunetly my bezel was not as gen spec as yours. After two hours of trying and trying i could not snap it on. So i spended another two hours of water-sanding the outer edge with 1500 sand paper and trying after each sanding pass to avoid oversanding. The result is perfect without any marks or flakes on the insert. Messy, thanks for the advice. Also thank all of you who tried to solve things out for me. I am a very happy modded bp sea dweller owner... Here are some pics...

The best sd ever indeed. Very good watch otb and with two-three mods(gen insert, tc bracelet and tc dials-hands combo) is a very accurate to gen. Thanx to all of you for the knowledge passed over to me. Sorry if i was a pain in the butt as a noob. Happy holidays to all of you out there.

thanks raddave! i'm considering getting a SD as a daily watch as i recently sold off my explorer II. comparing this BP SD and the Noob SD4000 V2, which would you guys recommend?

Im sure they all do , you just need to ask them
But why are you asking , because of the pricepoint ?

PT also has the same with a 2813 for like $100 cheaper, however i would not go that route

yeah, cause I understand PT generally has a higher price for the same watch same movement compared to other TDs
