Yeah, I'm struggling to find other 5-digit options. Shame Sead has sold the one he had in his UK stock recently, I was too late for that one.

I have ordered an all black bezel insert to fit. I also have a genuine crystal that I will try and fit. Will update with progress

It won't take a gen-spec insert or crystal without modding.

Rep Insert size is 30.5 x 37.5
Gen-spec size is 30.6 x 37.65

You can sand down the OD if it doesn't eat into the numbers, or buy an appropriately sized insert. They are available in the rep size.

This one is a Vostok insert, they fit nicely without modding

The rep crystal has a straight edge profile with 30.5.mm diameter. Gen-spec has a stairstep edge profile, the lower OD is 29.5mm. The only way to fit one without modding the case is to use two gaskets.

See this thread for more info if interested

Two gaskets, gen-spec crystal in this one

But what is the quality of the ebay inserts? Do you look like a gen one ? Otherwise I will sand down the bezel and put a gen insert in it right ?

Thinner casebacks in the previous links are all out of stock. Anyone knows where can i find one that fits the 16710 BP?

It depends - there are hundreds of them available. The black one I posted above is perfectly fine IMO. I think there is not enough bezel rim on the BP to remove more than .5mm all the way around to fit a gen insert and still have a rim.

But you can try. I sanded down a Skydweller fluted bezel inside perimeter so it would fit a gen-spec crystal. It was REALLY close to not working and I almost started eating into the scallops. But I'm OK with it.

You could always put an aftermarket retaining ring and gen spec bezel on it. I did that to a BP 16570. Now it will take a gen-spec insert and crystal. The retaining ring had to be epoxied onto the case.

It took a year for someone to find those bro, there aren't any other known sure things. I found two different ones from my parts drawer and another watch. A DHGate Yachti and an unknown 5513 stamped flat polished one.

WSO on Ebay. The inserts sometimes won't snap fit into their bezels like gen does so I glued the insert to the bezel. I have 3 of them with different inserts and just swap the bezels around. It's a lot easier to swap a 5 digit bezel than 6 digit one. Takes about 2 minutes and there's no risk of edge damage to the insert. Here's another one on my gen.

How unlucky I am, I was about to order the caseback but my country destination wasn't available, Ken sent me a message that he added my country, then I go for place my order and... out of stock.

If someone have a spare caseback from Ken, I'll be grateful.

I've seen more than a few member posts indicating dissatisfaction with WSO bezels and IME the machining tolerances were not perfect. I had to shave the lower inside bezel perimeter on all three of mine so they would fit and rotate easily on their own retaining ring. Plus gen-spec inserts (which WSO's insert are, for the most part though the bastards won't give measurements) often won't snap fit. But with a little modding and some glue for the inserts I find them a decent product. The bezels I bought are very close to gen in appearance. Swapping them around even on my gen is a breeze.

this BP is quite thick with his BP case. anyway i can't find a good 1675 or 16710 "vintage" homage (coke or pepsi) with less thickness...steinhart does it 14 mm, mkII does it 14.5mm
can't understand why; 1675 was 11mm if i well remember.

Yeah there is no justification for BP using the thick caseback. Thinner ones fit without impact to the movement parts.

Ken (rafflestime) has said that it might be January before he gets any more of the slimmer casebacks in stock again :-(

Received mine from Raffles Time. No, it don't fit. The thread is smaller than a stock BP. The measurement in the listing is correct, contra to 30.9mm on the BP.
Here we go again for a right caseback... Again..
