Honestly, me neither.
It might be a simplification but in mind mind you’d want a rep full set either to look at it yourself, in which case:

I think it's everyone's personal decision, which I am in principle absolutely okay with. For example, I don't think it would be problematic or strange (or suspicious) at all if someone builds themselves a complex Franken Rolex/AP/Patek etc. in a lengthy project for 10+k and intends to keep the rep for a long time and now also wants a branded box to be able to take it out of before putting the watch on, like in a daily ritual or something.... That's an "experience" I could even identify with, even though it's probably not what I would do myself.
But apart from the fact that the only route would be to invest another grand and get a gen box, the real problem in this particular case is not wanting a box, rep or gen...

a) being a Noob
b) putting out such a request, instead of an introduction, in the VERY first post
and c) wanting a rep box for a rep watch
The constellation/combination of the three is what triggers the alarm bells, I think, much more than c) would merely based on its own momentum.

Don't forget the papers. Those really contribute a lot to the whole "experience" thing...I think it's everyone's personal decision, which I am in principle absolutely okay with. And the fake receipt and AD shopping bag. Empty and unwashed glass of Champaign and fake life achievement or other milestone… also don’t forget to open an account on TRF, and make a thread called ‘Got the call!!!!” - all helps with that ‘gen-like experience’

I didn't forget papers because fake papers don't add anything to anyone's experience except that of a scam victim's.
Also, I can't see anyone looking for gen papers to go with a gen box for a rep watch. That'd be schizophrenic.

Like I said, not what I would personally care for... I wish I wouldn't have to store the boxes for my gens.
But I've seen long-standing members selling boxes with their rep watches on here... Which leads back to the difference between a known member and a 1-post Noob. It's tough to not appear suspicious if your first post is "hey, where can I get a fake box for my rep that I haven't even bought yet?". One of the worst possible ways to start.

I wonder is there a thread on Reddit as to how quickly they can trigger the RWI membership, based on a certain list of questions.
Just a thought as these types of questions, and other inflammatory ones, recently, are becoming more and more regular, almost like a mass troll invasion
Or maybe I need to take off the tin foil hat and put down the rum
Anyway, to the OP, buy or dont, it's your money, but I think, as I said in the chatbox, a nice triple watch roll, or triple watchwinder would be nicer than cheap chinese coloured cardboard, to display your new watches.

Hey, can anyone point me to the best sub? Also which TD would you recommend? Can they accept PayPal? Can they also supply a box and papers? I’ve got a gen one, in the safe, and an AP and a PP, but I don’t feel comfortable wearing them out. Thanks in advance.

I think something that would go a long way in this hobby is being 100% comfortable with telling people the truth, should they ever ask if your watch is a "fake". Which, when you wear a Rolex, gen or rep, people are going to ask you that anyways, so you should be prepared to answer lol.
With that being said, I totally get it if you want a box to go with your watch, especially if you're a one watch type of guy, and don't want to buy a 3+ slot watch box. I know at least one TD here that can deliver you just that, along with the papers you seek.
However, my suggestion would be to not get the papers, because then you're kind of putting yourself in a position where you CAN lie and possibly get away with it. We're all human and not perfect, so just don't put yourself in a position that encourage that kind of behavior.
For me, I have friends where I feel comfortable telling them it's a rep, so I'll wear it when I see them. But for other friends that I wouldn't feel comfortable telling, I wouldn't wear the watch or even let them know if it's existence, period. When out in public, if I don't want to tell people it's a rep, I just choose not to make it a conversation piece. If they compliment my watch, I just say thank you and move on.

Completely agree, and love your attitude. That makes sense about the papers and I’ll probably go without them. Who would you recommend for the box then? Again pretty much all TDs offer them but idk if there’s any difference among different TDs you’ve noticed

I understand that, it’s unfortunate that’s how people think and that the immediate thought about this question is “ Hes a scammer” it sucks.
That being said I get where you’re coming from. Whether you want to believe me that I was planning on buying a gen Batman or not is up to you. I can afford it I just don’t see why I would spend 25K on a watch that sells for 10-12K. Yes I know it’s because of demand and wait lists but I don’t accept that.
An since I’m going with the next best option, buying a rep I want a piece of that experience and enjoy it to the full extent.
I hope this explains things a bit and reinsures to some degree I’m not here to rip ppl off. And if I was a scammer i wouldn’t ask such a question knowing how people would reply
