One of the big reasons the price jump on Trusy and Precious time bothers me is because, they have terrific CS and great web sites. Its easy to shop and they return your emails promptly. It pisses me off though... Are Andrew and Joshua the same guy or likely a composite of several people.
They're two distinct guys, one in China, one in Singapore. They decided a while ago to pool resources and work together. Once they set up their joint ventures, they started cartelling on prices, notably with the SFSO, with King and a reluctant Angus.

Apart from the obvious disadvantages of this (fixed higher prices), they compound it with false advertising, designed to get web visitors (less educated than us) to pay for stuff that doesn't exist.

We've been over it before, but we apparently like taking one in the ass every now and then if it means they continue to sell us watches.

Prices will only increase if we contiune to let them, remember prices are realitive to what we are willing to pay not necessarly whats asked.

Hey Neil good post, yes your still here and still a big pain in the ass I see. :D

For the record I do remember you saying this but I also remember saying it your choice. I never argued about the fact. I just suggested do it and move on.

Wait a F'ing minute, you ain't shitting about a price increase. I won't mention the dealers but WTF?? I just went and looked at a watch that normally would sell for $188 and now its $228 shit and thats without shipping?? F that I think those guys are smoking the lead paint over there.

There was another watch just posted earlier here for over $400.00. I'm not sure who on this board is spending that much money but obviously no one posting here. :)

There are hundreds of models to choose from all well within the $100-$300 range for auto some even lower. For example.

Now consider this, its a Japan Citizen/Miyota 21J that will out last a 21J Asian by far and runs much smoother, its has a real warranty, ships within the states or elsewhere, has guranteed 316L SS, real plating which the manufactuer gurantees for the life of the product, you get the idea. Ok it doesn't say Rolex, so what (I actually like the Invicta logo) but you what know else it doens't come from a drop shipper, returns are easy, its not pos, compare that to a now way overpriced rep thats has no gurantee, poor QC, shitty delivery from overseas, bad dealer attitude (not all), and just plan crappy watches. The picture become very clear. I'll take a nice Invicta, a Seiko 5, and the list goes on.

Hey Neil good post, yes your still here and still a big pain in the ass I see.

As always.......yep.....but only in your ass......but then you've always been a glutton for punishment.....you LIKE it.

Most of you have lost the point of reps......you're moving into the arena of thinking of them as legitimate watches......they're not.....it's the age old story.......PEOPLE WANT THE FLASH....BUT DON'T WANT TO PAY THE CASH......get it........you don't get that with Invictas.....if you want to be on time...buy a quartz.....or look at your mobile.....!

Well andrew told me him and jos-nana are the only ones who sell 4th gen PO and that isn't true as it turned out. There's more going on there, but some of what was said is true anyways. Also why are you spending $140 on a crown/tube replacement on a 4th gen PO? Isn't the crown/tube ~$15 and you can pretty much do it yourself? A member on this forum explained how to swap it out. Doesn't sound like rocket science, but also might not be very sturdy after putting the gen tube in. I might try it anyway.

it isn't a 4th gen 42.5. it is a 45mm ultimate. the crown is 36.00, tube, 6.60, shipping, 6.89. total 49.49

the hole in the case is bigger than the tube on a 45mm po. it takes some skill to do this work and the charge is 2 hours for the job at 40.00 per hr. 80.00 lbr plus shipping back and forth insured, about 40.00. it doesn't take long to add this up. this shit is high. the 4th time it came back from china from being repaired it got taxed by customs and cost me 98.48 to get it from them and it worked perfectly, 3 times and it stripped again. this is a very expensive omega rep and like i said i am getting tired of crappy quality at this kind of cost. raise the price i will be all but out of the game.

flashy invicta, it gets more positive comments than any watch i have. retails for 650.00 and i got it new off the bay for 176.00. it has zero defects, it's water tight, it has a swiss movement that keeps time within about 1 second a month and it is 50mm.

it seems they have allot of complaints but most of what i have read is consistent about saying stay with the swiss versions and you will be ok. this is the only one i have, it's swiss and it is great. i don't know if i was just lucky or the swiss versions are really better, all i know is this one is great and looks very cool to me.

Bullshit, it the dealers that are trying to pass them off as legit and trying to charge more and more for watches with no quality control, pos ETA copy movements, fake sapphire, sub par SS (saying its 316L, when its NOT), and blah, blah, blah.

Lets see how much flash you get when your bezel or the pearl falls off, or an hour markers falls off, or the hands fall off. Reps are fun for collecting but in no way are they legit watches. Most of us get that, some don't. But the fact is the dealers (NOT all) are trying to convince us these things are better then they are. Out of the reps I've had, theres more bad ones then good ones, and even the good ones always have some problem but I expect that.

Same old pottymouth Sub4me, entering his brain into fights above its weight. I feel I should add a "blah blah, woof woof" here, but I'm not sure I can be bothered.

Replicas at the cheaper end should be considered disposable fun, but when you see watches the quality of the UPO, the Steelfish and the 3717, you can tell that these are as good as any genuine watch within the same price range and higher even.

Nobody here buys watches, real or counterfeit, to tell the time. We buy them for a plethora of reasons, but none of them is to actually tell the time with it. We've got mobiles, laptops, iPods ... all of which do a far better job than a wristwatch.

Love the anger from Sub4me and the opinions of pugwash. Let me be honest and say I buy from the big two dealers. I like them. Buuuuut, enough already with the prices. I just spotted a Pam 1950 for $888 that would need hundreds more in mods. I noticed it when a member here reported he was about to buy it. Come on! A fake watch!

@ gliptopolis ...your dead on with your karting analogy......years ago you could email a dealer and order a watch....emails came back..."for you as a new customer...I'll give you a deal"...buy two and get $40 off and free shipping....prices were reasonable.....pretty much only two Rep sites then.....now five or more.....

not that the dealers dont sell a lot off the internet without us....but we and the Rep sites pretty much upped their business substantially....then the cartel price fixing and raising started....seems like greed set in....not rising costs (MHO).....

as you pointed out...we are our own worst enemies...the more watches we buy....the more people that get into reps (who dont have a history)....the higher the prices go...the worse the good and services (in some cases) start to become.

I love the cute little game the cartel is playing now....seems like they have read enough of our derrogatory threads about the same high price no matter which site you go to...so they recently have taken to selectively changing (dropping) the prices on certain models so that there appears to be a difference between the dealers in the group....."you drop the price of the noob mariner and I'll drop the price of the PO"......"but keep all the other prices the same (high)......either they are trying to appear as different competitive entities or trying to kick up lagging sales....guess they think we are idiots......maybe we are

I don't know who you're buying your reps from....but it ain't me....( and never will be )......tell us which dealers are trying yo pass off their fakes as legit.......tell us which ones are charging more and more with no QC.....according to Ziggy....( the only qualified watchsmith on any of the boards )......the Asian ETA mov'ts are actually good.....same for the new Sellita mov'ts.....what do you mean by 'fake' sapphire.....?....and what shit have you been buying where the steel isn't up to 316L standards......I know....Subs.....well....that's why.....!

I've lost count of the Noobmariners I've sold.....must be close to 300 now.....and I've had less than 10 returns......same with MBW's......I've sold many in the last few months......I've had one 16610 back from FA in Norway.(dial problem)...and two from TM in Ohio..(different dials )....plus one vintage....which has a debatable crown problem....."it fell out".....which is funny 'cos it didn't fall out when I had it in my posession for two weeks.....!

You need to step back and re-examine your decisions.....it doesn't look as tho' you're making very good ones....!

I certainly dont intend to bash the guys as individuals.....they probably would be fun to have a beer with....just their business practices....

I have purchased watches etc. from them in the past and would again...only more selectively.....I hate that bitter taste one gets in the mouth when you feel like youve just been had......or think you have

kinda like going on a blind date and realizing halfway through the night....that "your" the blind date....
