It has already been mentioned by Li that insert is “upgraded” in v2s. Why do you need a side-by-side comparison, I think such a move will make the v2 owners even more remorseful and anxious
Nothing against Li but if they release such a comparison, the marketing gimmick will make v2 look really bad so that owners want to upgrade. ZZF has succeeded in getting a good customer base with the high profile v2 release and now they want to milk this customer base

Umm why shouldnt there be a comparison? If they would have discontinued the v2 and kept the v2s at the same price then there was no question, but they have released v2s in addition to the v2 and increased the price.
It is only justified that someone would want to check what hes paying the extra amount for and if that change is worth it for him...
This has nothing to do with the current v2 owners. Im sure majority of the customer base knows how the rep world functions and knew a newer / better model would be released sooner or later. If not Li then someone else would definitely post comparison pictures of the v2 vs v2s

I think first QC should arrive at the end of the week if the delay Which was announced by Li was right (and with the corona it could be longer.. but for me health is priority)

Li is a dealer, his job is not to do side by side to educate the community, but to sell watches. And he does that very well with a great customer support. Sometimes he does detailed watch analysis but it doesn't that he owes it to anyone. Li is not the one increasing prices, ZZF is.
Sure, no where did I mention that Li owes us anything or that he has raised prices himself (although we may never know that).
The OP of the comment I quoted asked "why was a comparison needed"? I merely stated the reasons as to why a comparison was needed including the fact that if Li doesnt then someone else would.
Business or not, Li has been great. Godspeed to him.

Yes no worries, I did not take it specifically from your message, just trying to explain to you and to the previous person who asked for side by side. Yes it would be great to have side by side for all version of all watches, but reality is that we just get them once on a while when somebody has access to both models and take the time to do so.
Have you held them in hand, side by side? We just can not tell until you have them both in hand, but the difference is supposed to be substantial. A difference in color, ever so slightly, could have a huge impact on the overall look of the watch. I ordered the V2, but changed it into the v2s; to me it's worth the extra money. The color of the insert is just the first thing you see, well, what I see. It's been a long time since I have been this excited about a watch to be honest.

Exactly the new S is a nice improvement because one the V2 the bezel was off, better than other brands but still off compared to a gen.
With this one, from the pic posted, they finally get it !
And on the hulk color is everything, we'll see

It's like when Clean released the ceramic Daytona bezel, a lot of people bagged and shitted on it at first..but IRL it looks amazing and "gen" like....
