Why is it ridiculous as he is right. The crown guards are poor on these.

I’m not saying they’re not different (which they are) it’s The suggestion that someone who owned the gen checked out all the rep cases and committed to memory the difference in angle of the crown guards. “Any one who’s owned gen will know what I mean” not necessarily.

Again anyone who’s been familiar with the gen will automatically spot out a zzf.

Sorry, That statement is complete rubbish. Not everyone who owns a gen is comparing it in such a way as you’re suggesting to a replica counterpart. And how do
You suggest one would automatically spot the dig fence in case angle of a
Crown guard in normal life?

No need for the condensing tone. I’m challenging your statement and yes I familiar with gen subs thanks.

Yes, trusty. I actually find it hard to see whether this a v2 or v2s.. Looks good though!

First off, let me just say it's an awesome watch according to the pics we have seen. That being said, the crown guards on the zzf are an instant tell at least to me. I have my gen on as I write this and to me, it's a night and day difference according to the pics I've seen. Do I have all of the other reps crown guards committed to memory - no. But the other reps have their flaws as well - they all do. Each person just needs to pick the rep with the flaws they can live with the most as well as the rep that feels most like a gen on their wrist. ;)

I’ve not argued the crown guards are different. I disagree with the statement that “anyone” who owns, owned or handled a Gen would automatically see this difference. That simply is not true. That’s all I’ve said.

I agree as I've had this in Gen and have owned it for quite few years and I've both ZZFs also, and although its different from Gen, its no way right at your face tell. It looks quite fine irl imo:)

We can honestly say the arf case and bracelet are superior to zzf

After 10 years of overpaying for gens and holding a strong disdain for the "idea" of reps, I can attest that I didn't know shit about the subtle differences in crown guards, SEL recesses, or any number of differences in reps to gens.

And my whole career is founded on human pattern recognition. All of that knowledge came from RWI and rep research.

So, rejoice that nobody gives a f*** about your 1:1 clone being fake. Especially if you drive a nice car, present well, and hold your head high. Nobody will question it.

I feel like a sucker for spending an embarrassing amount of money on gens. A sucker. Full stop.

Which leads me to the point I was trying to make above. I can easily see it, others may not. Each rep has its own flaws no matter how minor they may be. If they all made a perfect rep we wouldn't have V1's, V2's etc. Some may not like the crown guards on the ZZF. Some may not like the fat lugs on the ARF. Each person just needs to pick the rep with the flaws they can live with the most as well as the rep that feels most like a gen on their wrist and then maybe we can all get along. ;)

I dont know if you ever had reps like this high end reps as you own many gens, but wonder what do you think like guy who own gens about this zzf and all other high end reps,do you think that giving thousands is pointless compared to how reps are made today

In my opinion, paying for gens is never pointless, but I'm done w it for a while. Maybe forever.

In the past, the internal reassurance that wearing a gen offered me was helpful... as a type of external validation when I wasn't as solid in my own skin. And I won't be selling any of them, rather I'll leave them to my son.

But I'm done w the gen hype, the AD games, the wait lists, the mark ups. After seeing the quality of higher end reps, I'm convinced that it probably costs Rolex ~ $3k USD (max) to manufacture steel watches like the 116610LV... the cost going to the hand fabrication & finishing. And when my 2 y/o, AD purchased, M114060-002 shit the bed on me during light work in my backyard and they told me it would take 6 months to fix, Rolex can go f*** themselves.

I take pride in the rep- I now view it as gaming a corrupt system.
