What does this have to do with demanding better from the factories? Our hobby, at least mine is, the pursuit of perfection. You’re no longer replicating if you’re just content with its ‘unique variation’. Why else are we waiting for ‘the next version’?

Pursuit of perfection? then get gen. We are dwelling in reps, it will never be perfect. If we all for the next version, it's going to be a never-ending wait. You will have to deal with some imperfections.

It does not have anything to do with that. And i never said that.

I also never said that nobody is allowed to be ocd about certain details. If it bothers you it's your personal opinion. I am ocd myself about a few things and i like my rep to be as good as possible while frankening and stuff. For me thats part of my hobby.

It was just about that these faults are supposed to be "instant tells for anybody who ever handled or posses a gen" because they are not.

And of course it's good to make the factories aware of differences so they can try fix them.

exactly this ^

the earlier we start enjoying the rep watches the better. gen owners will never care about these details nor will they ever know about them.. why? because they will have never looked into them in the first place, why would they give a damn about the lugs?! they buy the watch and that’s it. we, the niche of the niche of the niche are by far not representative for the big crowd, not even for the standard watch collector. consequently, chances are higher you are running into a rep collector that notices the details, well in this case even, enjoy and have a good conversation

I'll tell ya what, I would have never owned a gen, or at least never truly appreciated it, had I not gotten into reps. In fact, my attention to details in all aspects of my life has improved because of this hobby... although, sometimes the neuroticism seeps over also lol.

But anyways, just got a gen datejust 41, and I appreciate it so damn much- directly because of this hobby. Aaaaand to get back on topic, this V2S looks great. I'd probably throw a crystal and datewheel and call it a day. Maybe hands just because.

But I think this looks good enough to rock right ootb too.

I’m sure people have noticed but have you seen the FT in the 1000FT is completely different F and also the T is different also just nit picking but there is a noticeable diff how could they get this wrong?

Because you as a new member only on the forum for a month you need to read and do your own research instead of asking obvious question expecting other members to feed you information. I understand if you can’t tell the difference some member are very good at catching subtle differences but what your asking is literally everywhere in this thread do some reading and you’ll get your answer don’t expect the information to be given to you. I usually never reply to these new member who ask what’s the best sub but this question is directly in the thread just scroll up lol

No need to apologize. The v2s is the V2 with a new bezel color, more genlike. The V2, I think, is not for sale anymore. You will automatically get the v2s. However, what our fellow members just said: read at least the first pages of this thread; it’s nice to learn more about this industry and what it has to offer. Enjoy.

Rolex has changed the Sub dial over the years. It looks like this ZZF might be a rep of the early 2018 dial. The ARF V3 appears to be coping the 2019 dial. See the link below for a very good description of the changes over the years.

Agree with botsyboy. Arf and v6s have a good SEL fitment. V9 with arf bracelet might be good too, but inheard its hit or miss.

Just wait lana to take pic of one date (20's to see if the 6 is misaligned), and the clasp (there is a mark under the crown). rehaut is almost perfect alignment too (DW ok, ok) me for me I have a good ones like you guys enjoy!!
