It is a bit crooked if you look closely but does anybody think it is a big flaw? Do average people notice something like this on a hand irl?

No dont even think about it you didn’t see it even on zoomed blown up pics and needed some help to notice it. They all have minor flaws time to time and so do gens.

So my first ever rep came on June 16 and it was the V2S from Li. However, the movement is now losing -20S a day easily. Just wanted to get your thoughts. Is this normal?

No, it probably needs a service. When Li send you the qc pics, what was the gain/loss?

It was +4s/d. I have tried winding it ect. Set it again not even 24hrs ago and it’s -13s behind.

Will do. If anyone has any suggestions of a good places to get it serviced in the UK please let me know.

Just get it regulated its a 5 min job. Mine was 0 sec a day on QC after some wear it was +120 sec and had it regulated to +4 sec. Have this happen to couple of watches that after some wear they start to go fast but a 5 min regulating work at a watch smith does the job well. They run like a champ afterwards.

Though service is yes better if you plan to keep it the watch smith cleaned my ZZF also said it was full of dirt even on the case back. Anyway I would start with regulating and see if that does the job as it does not cost anything and takes just 5 min. If that eliminates the problem let it run if there's no issues as service is +200 EUR on top of the watch cost. It will run fine until there's a new version out and you're going to upgrade anyway to that one.

The VR movements are decent clones but they’re always filthy inside. Lots of debris and spots of oil. They make a right mess of your bench before cleaning. I strip them down on a piece of A4 paper,

A service should be around £120 on this movement. Maybe a little more if you’re taking it to a store.

Thanks. I’ll try getting it regulated first before getting a service.

Is the dimple issue still around in recent batches? It seems zzf is quite inconsistent between the ln and lv. I really want to get a lv, been waiting ages for one with a bezel with the correct colour (or close) and doesnt fade.

Yeah the bezel on my zzf is really my biggest disappointment, I clean it regularly and it still dull looking and low lighting even worse that’s the one thing I think about changing but haven’t, it seemed much brighter out of the box but within weeks it was like it changed 3 or 4 darker, the bezel and the clasp are definitely two things in my opinion they could drastically improve on

Doesnt zzf use clean's bezel? Those are platinum plated or at least the same process. There was a member that used a toothbrush and some mild soap to clean the bezel, that should work. Getting dull occurs even in gen, i just do not want the engravings to flake off or fade like the Noob and ARF.

Yes they use CF insert and dial and insert should be platinum plated according to Li in one review.

LV in gen doesn't have the dimple and also ZZF LV doesn't have it the same way. Only LN.

I've been toothbrushing regularly my 2 ZZFs as I abuse them a lot washing a car, swimming in murky waters and so on and they do collect lot of dirt in the insert markers but they seem to hold up quite well and are not flaking so far. I'm note sure Noob or ARF would survive regular toothbrushing that well if it's just a paint.

And yes they get dull or at least flake in gens as well if you check some older models for sale inserts can be quite dull and badly flaking.

Thanks for your input mate, now i can buy the LV without doubt since they have fixed the X and serial issues.

I have a ARF SD43, the engravings cannot last and just a light q tip scrub flakes them.

No probs and it may actually be platinum plated as if it's just paint like others that intensive abuse would have caused some flaking already I think. No matter how soft toothbrush you use it's still quite harsh scrubbing on the markers and I basically did it several times a week some time ago when the weather was hot and they went in and out of murky waters every day.

Sounds like you put your sub through quite a lot haha. Great to know zzf sub is able to survive such harsh treatments.

Yes it's a sub and a toolwatch as they say :) So far both of them have survived though mine are both LN's.
