My dude,
You read the damn description, you say you have purchased dozens of reps. This would mean you know what the heck a 7750 movement can do and the limitations. Knowing this you bought they damn thing that works as described on the box.

What did you expect to be different?

Because it hasn’t been said in a way OP can understand.

and decided to scratch it up and call it a day.

So a longtime member of the TD section of RWI that sells probably over thousand watches every month will risk his reputation on a fucking few hundert dollars? Never.
We all had shit decisions mate and lost money. its a hobby which is illegal and not as incomplicate like playing chess or fishing.
go for the next one, change dealer, whatever makes you happy.

I appreciate you trying to be objective. Since you've put in the time to write this, I feel inclined to share my side of things:

1. Whether its a modified 7750 decorated or not a 4401 clone, I don't really care or understand. I really like the model I saw in the video of the provided link, where you can see that all the chrono parts move and once the reset button is pushed, all the chrono arrows point to 12, being reset also. You can see in my video that this isn't the case with the watch I got. So clearly this "modified 7750 decorated" watch was faulty and needed repair.

4. To address the remainder of your post you can go to point 1, where they shipped the exact watch as per my link, being: https://trustytime88.io/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=352&products_id=28409, take a look at how the chrono works in the video and compare with how the chrono works in the watch I received and took a video of: https://we.tl/t-ZiHZTqamJp.

OP @mister twister , any progress on this case?

Because in both video-links you posted, the subdial @9 does not reset.
Furthermore, in the video-link, where you showed the TD the watch you wanted (with a 7750 movement), the subdial @9 is slaved to the hour hand, and this is exactly what you got.
